Welcome back, edgar. I didn't know the other guy either. Just played that one because it was his birthday.
It was mine as well! (and Buzz Aldrin).
"I didn't know the other guy either"
The other guy, Gary Barlow, is possibly one of the best singer/songwriters the UK has produced in recent times. I haven't checked, but he's probably sold as many singles and albums in the UK as Elton. He was originally a member of 'Take That' ....the most successful boyband to come out of the UK, where every female between the ages of 9 to 90 fell in love with him when they were at the height of their fame.
They all went their separate ways during the late 90's or so, and Gary proved himself to be a superb singer/songwriter, notching up many hit songs whether sung by himself or given out to other singers.
In 2006, Take That regrouped and staged various reunion concerts up and down the country.
Here's one, where they are singing a Gary Barlow number (he's on piano) and you can see the effect it had on the crowd (nearly all women, of course).
I guarantee you if you checked the extensive list of songs he's written, there will be at least three or four that made it big in the USA, albeit sung by another artist.
The guy has immense talent.

And another one from Gary.
This is probably the favourite of my better half......
edgar, thanks for your comment and The Days of Wine and Roses was another Mancini triumph. Also like Jerry Lee's Season's of the Heart.
Lordy as was, Thanks for the further explanation of Gary.Love to learn on our radio. All of his vocals were good.
I had a sleepless night last evening concerned about my daughter and her allergies. She reminded me that my Dave played acoustic guitar and sang this one by The Doobie brothers.
Love Moonlight Lady by Julio, edgar. I listened twice.
You and I both know The House of the Rising Sun was a real place. You also know that I liked it better by To To.
Well, here is one by "old blue eyes" doing The Lady is a Tramp. There was another version by Tony Bennett and Lady GaGa In spite of all his problems, he was a fantastic vocalist.
Good morning everyone from here in our Florida radio station.
hbg, the only one that worked by you for me was the funny one by "the little tramp". Perhaps your Dinner for One was Nat Cole's "Dinner for One Please James."
edgar, I know The Bells of St Mary by the crooner, but you sent me searching for that fantastic version of Sandman's Coming. What a fantastic version and the visuals were breath taking.
All of the different languages that guy spoke reminded me of this one, Texas.
