This was written for MLK. It reminds me of Nelson Mandela though.

@Olivier5,
Welcome back, French lady. Yours wouldn't play for me so I had to search out Nina's Version myself.

He knew he was going to die. I have often wondered why he said:

Like anyone I want to live, but I've been to the mountain top,
I've seen the promised land, etc.

Do me a favor and comment on Harry Houdini.

@izzythepush,
Welcome back, pushman. Once again you sent me searching.The Cure are an English rock band formed in Crawley, West Sussex in 1976. The band has experienced several line-up changes, with frontman, vocalist, guitarist and principal songwriter Robert Smith being the only constant member

It's Friday I'm in Love was fantastic.

Going to say goodnight now as I'm a bit tired.

First, one inspired by you.

@Letty,
Houdini was a Jew from Brooklyn. His escapist acts resonated deeply in the community at a political level, if I believe The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon.

He borrowed his name from a 19th century French magician and creator of automates, Robert-Houdin from Blois. Here is one of his automaton:

@Letty,
I always liked them, but my daughter became their 'no. 1 fan' in her teens.

This was always one of my favourites.

You won't get a bigger Godfather fan than Colin.

Herr hbg, first allow me to say I couldn't sleep well last evening, so I listened to your clarinet concerto and your Verdi one and it was sooooo soothing.

French lady, thanks for the explanation and the difference between those two Houdini guys.

Hey, pushman. I understand why your daughter influences you. Mine does as well. Love The Cure myself now. The Job Center was humorous, too.

Hope I didn't miss any contributions. Still a bit woozy.

Still thinking about our edgar and hope he is alright.

How about this lovely hymn to begin our Sunday.

@edgarblythe,
Another sigh of relief. Welcome back, edgar, and when you get the chance, check out Manhattan Transfer. My Boy Friend's Back I know but not the trio.

I've been saving this one for you, Texas.

@edgarblythe,
Ocean Front Property by George was great, edgar. Didn't know that one by him.

JLNobody and I were discussing that somethings an artist can't paint.

How about two versions of the same song, and you may want to decide which is the best. first Willie and Leon.

Now, Arlo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtGGwWVuo7A

funny bit of stan-up comedy.

Sorry, Arlo, I like Leon and Willie's version better
