@edgarblythe,
edgar, the only one that worked was Elvis doing Memories.

Saying goodnight with two songs.

First, one to match "the king's"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRaKYz4JVQw

Now, the man who inspired Bobby Darin.

I invited Fresco to join us; hope he does. I played hbg's Condor Passe for him

From Letty with love and hope that our songs play

good morning and happy birthday to Al Hirt !

Quote:
Al Hirt (November 7, 1922 – April 27, 1999) was an American trumpeter and bandleader.[1] He is best remembered for his million-selling recordings of "Java" and the accompanying album Honey in the Horn (1963), and for the theme song to The Green Hornet. His nicknames included "Jumbo" and "The Round Mound of Sound".[1] Hirt was inducted into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in November 2009.

happy birthday to " Mr. Glow-Worm " ( aka Paul Lincke )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvtXMkp9fFc

Quote:
Carl Emil Paul Lincke (7 November 1866 – 4 September 1946) was a German composer and theater conductor. He is considered the "father" of the Berlin operetta and holds the same significance for Berlin as does Johann Strauss for Vienna and Jacques Offenbach for Paris. His well-known compositions include "Berliner Luft" ("Berlin Air"), the unofficial anthem of Berlin, from his operetta Frau Luna; and "The Glow-Worm", from his operetta Lysistrata.

edgar and hbg, Loved all those songs especially Al Hirt. Also enjoyed the introduction to Paul Lincke. Great performer. Also adored James Levine.

Amos Milburn : Bad , Bad Whiskey ... Shocked ...

( PLEASE , PLEASE - if it has to be whiskey , make it a well-aged 0ne ! )

Quote:

Joseph Amos Milburn, Jr. (April 1, 1927 – January 3, 1980) was an African American rhythm and blues singer and pianist,[1] popular during the 1940s and 1950s. He was born and died in Houston, Texas.

One commentator noted, "Milburn excelled at good-natured, upbeat romps about booze and partying, imbued with a vibrant sense of humour and double entendre, as well as vivid, down-home imagery in his lyrics."[1]

@edgarblythe,
It's by a band called War. It always reminds me of Cheech and Chong.

hbg, you missed Joni Mitchell and she's Canadian. Listened to all of your songs, and they were good, but remember herr hbg, we need comments on most of our songs to maintain the radio format.

edgar, don't know Low Rider by Geroge Lopez, but was that rap music? Tell us what your other comment was when you get a chance.

Another birthday guy.

@Letty,
Low Rider was originally sung by the band War. The song played in this movie with Cheech & Chong. Just a little bit of trivia Smile
