@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the comment and the bumps, edgar. Didn't know Come Softly to Me by that group, but it was great, and here's one to match, Texas.

Thanks for your commet, edgar and your personal acknowledgement. Love "gentleman Jim's" Welcome to my world.

Going to say goodnight with two songs. First a bit of info on the birthday guy:

Dwight David Yoakam is an American singer-songwriter, actor and film director, most famous for his pioneering country music.

good night / good morning - and happy birthday to Gilbert Becaud .

Quote:
Gilbert Bécaud (French pronunciation: [ʒil.bɛːʁ be.ko], 24 October 1927 – 18 December 2001[1]) was a French singer, composer, pianist and actor, known as "Monsieur 100.000 Volts"[2] for his energetic performances. His best-known hits are "Nathalie" and "Et Maintenant", a 1961 release that became an English language hit as "What Now My Love". He remained a popular artist for nearly fifty years, identifiable in his dark blue suits, with a white shirt and "lucky tie"; blue with white polka dots. When asked to explain his gift he said, "A flower doesn't understand botanics."[3] His favourite venue was the Paris Olympia under the management of Bruno Coquatrix. He debuted there in 1954 and headlined in 1955, attracting 6,000 on his first night, three times the capacity. On 13 November 1997 Bécaud was present for the re-opening of the venue after its reconstruction.

hbg, Like your French song. Some melodies don't need translating.

edgar, Like Arlo's A Soldier Makes it home and I remember Volare by Dean Martin. Good one, Texas.

Today is Moss Hart's birthday, but first some info on the man.

Moss Hart was an American playwright and theatre director.
Born: October 24, 1904, New York City, NY
Died: December 20, 1961, Palm Springs, CA

Now, Danny Kaye sings a popular song.

Hello, everybody! I was unsure whether to post this because it is a completely different type of music. It interested me because it is a musical tribute to a Quentin Tarrantino movie performed by a Korean girl group. The music and dancing is very good.
