hurry back, hbg. My two favorites of your songs are La Bamba and Donkey Serenade. Here's Allan Jones' version.

Today is Charlton's birthday, and I think they get out of tune with the Sound of Silence on purpose.

edgar, you hurry back, too. Didn't know that one by Leonard Cohen. It was great.

@edgarblythe,
Love Dr. Hook doing Beautiful Woman, edgar. I didn't much like Planet of the Apes with Charleton, however.

For some reason, this song still sticks in my memory, but I have been researching the movie and can't find much about it.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comment, edgar, and I really like Garth's Friends in Low Places.

Going to say goodnight a bit early as I need to keep an eye on Katrina.

First, remembering nekonomad and his garden, a flower.

That's an hibiscus bloosom.

Saying goodnight with two songs.

First, James Taylor a bit later in life but still a great voice.

Now, My Heart Will Go On.

@hamburgboy,

In the '60, Bobby Darin's star flared briefly in this country.

Good stuff. Here he is with "Multiplication"

Good morning from our studio here in Florida. Sleepless night for me because of tropical storm Karen. It appears to be headed Northwest and my daughter will be coming here tomorrow. Hope she doesn't have to drive in the remnants of the storm.

Sorry that I can't acknowledge each contribution, but as you all know my way of saying thank you is to thumb up each one.

Welcome back, McTag. I had to smile at Bobby's Multiplication as "go forth and multiply" is a naughty expression in your part of the world.

More synchronicity as today is Kate Winslet's birthday, and she did My Heart Will Go On as well. I'm confused. Anyone surpristed.

Here is Kate and Leonardo. Also Andre Rieu and his violin.

Now, Andre.
