@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar. As you know I love Leonard, but didn't know The Guests. The first one that I heard by him was Suzanne.

Here's another birthday man that I really admire.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comment, edgar, and once again, you sent me searching

Johnny Burnette
Musician
John Joseph "Johnny" Burnette was an American rockabilly musician. Along with his older brother Dorsey Burnette and friend Paul Burlison, Burnette was a founding member of The Rock and Roll Trio.

His Dreamin' was great. Thanks again for the introduction.

Going to say goodnight a bit early, as I need the sleep.

I think many of our listeners and contributors missed this.

So great having Ontario via Germany with us. Hawaii, too.

good evening msletty , ed and all other listeners !

some fine music being played again on WA2K Radio tonight !
......................................................................................................
just watched Charlie Musselwhite in " Performance from the White House "

playing " I'm in - I'm out and I'm gone " !

what a great musician !

here he is with Ben Parker " I'm in - I'm out and I'm gone " :

( if you can put up for about 30 seconds with a silly commercial , you'll be rewarded )

Quote:
Charles "Charlie" Douglas Musselwhite (born January 31, 1944) is an American electric blues harmonica player and bandleader,[1] one of the non-black bluesmen who came to prominence in the early 1960s, along with Mike Bloomfield and Paul Butterfield. Though he has often been identified as a "white bluesman",[2][3] he claims Native American heritage. Musselwhite was reportedly the inspiration for Dan Aykroyd's character in the Blues Brothers.

Happy Birthday to " Dusty Springfield " - a fine British songstress :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp4339EbVn8

Quote:
Mary Isobel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien[note 1] OBE (16 April 1939 – 2 March 1999), known professionally as Dusty Springfield, was an English pop singer and record producer whose career extended from the late 1950s to the 1990s. With her distinctive sensual sound, she was an important blue-eyed soul singer and at her peak was one of the most successful British female performers, with six top 20 singles on the United States Billboard Hot 100 and sixteen on the United Kingdom Singles Chart from 1963 to 1989.[1] She is a member of both the US Rock and Roll and UK Music Halls of Fame. International polls have named Springfield among the best female rock artists of all time. Her image, supported by a peroxide blonde beehive hairstyle, evening gowns, and heavy makeup, made her an icon of the Swinging Sixties.[2]

just found some fine music that i would like to share with you :

the great Oscar Peterson and his trio performing at the Golden Saal in Vienna .

while it is probably too long to listen to in one session ( one hour and

32 minutes ) - you might want to break it up or use for background music .

( i hope you'll enjoy it as much as i did ) .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkX6rZgR1qI

( while Oscar was beginning to get a little frail , his performance at the piano

was still outstanding ; i believe . )

I like those kind of movies, mctag. I remember the farmer actor as being the one in Grapes of Wrath who was going back home while the central characters were en route to California.

It's Wodin's Day here (Wednesday)

hbg, Loved Charlie's In Out and Gone; Dusty's tribute, too. You know, of course, how I love Oscar Peterson and his trio.

edgar, The Texas Tornados doing Adios Mexico was great as was John Mayer.

Thanks again for your comment.

Welcome back McTag. Didn't know The Ross Sisters but I certainly remember sliding down a haystack when I was a wee thing on my aunt's farm. Got terrible hay fever. It's simply called allergies now, but just as bad.

edgar, loved your comment on McTag's movie.

Here's the Wales song that I played for you and your family.

and for the morning here, how about some Sergio.
