Good early morning here in Florida, y'all.

hbg, Jane's Norma was fantastic; what a coloratura. Don't know her, so once again thanks for the introduction.

Wow! In the Moonlight by Albert was great, and you're right about the visuals.

Hurry back, edgar. Love Ebb Tide by Roy, and Moonlight Becomes You by the crooner was a great way to start the day.

Had to smile at a memory from Bud. He used to say about our Ebony when strangers were coming to our door: "..keep Eb Tied.."

Celebrating the birthday of a legend. Gregory Peck.

Not going to comment on everything. I had not heard Jerry Colona (sp) in so long I had forgotten his sound.
Thanks neko. That's my favorite Ed Fish song.

@edgarblythe,
While we await neko to say, Thank you, Letty, here's another navy song, edgar. We played that one before that you just played. Love it.!

First some info on the group.

The Seekers are an Australian folk-influenced pop quartet, originally formed in Melbourne in 1962. They were the first Australian pop music group to achieve major chart and sales success in the United Kingdom and the United States.

@ehBeth,
Welcome back to you as well, Bethie. Thanks for the warm hello. Sorry that Ron Hynes doing Sonny's Dream wouldn't play here. I think of Clio and Bailey all the time. Perhaps one of your boys will do the healing bit.

good morning to all - and happy birthday to " Gerry " Mulligan :

Quote:
Gerald Joseph "Gerry" Mulligan (April 6, 1927 – January 20, 1996) was an American jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, composer and arranger.[1] Though Mulligan is primarily known as one of the leading baritone saxophonists in jazz history – playing the instrument with a light and airy tone in the era of cool jazz – he was also a notable arranger, working with Claude Thornhill, Miles Davis, Stan Kenton, and others. Mulligan's pianoless quartet of the early 1950s with trumpeter Chet Baker is still regarded as one of the more important cool jazz groups. Mulligan was also a skilled pianist and played several other reed instruments. Mulligan reportedly had a relationship with actress Judy Holliday until she died in 1965, and with actress Sandy Dennis from 1965 through 1973. In 1974 Mulligan met his future wife, Countess Franca Rota Borghini Baldovinetti, in Milan, Italy.

Good morning to all of our radio folks.

Hurry back, edgar, as I loved April Come She Will by Simon and Garfunkel. Thanks for your comment, too.

Loved your goodnight song, hbg. Ronald Dixon was great on that wonderful Wurlitzer, and Gerry Mulligan's Moonlight in Vermont a very good jazz song. Thanks for your info, too.

More synchronicity, because Nat did Fascination as played by Ronald. Here are the lyrics:

It was Fascination
I know
And it might have ended
Right then, at the start
Just a passing glance
Just a brief romance
And I might have gone
On my way empty hearted

It was Fascination
I know
Seeing you alone
With the moonlight above

Then I touched your hand
And next moment
I kissed you
Fascination turned to love

Happy birthday Andre.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for restoring our signal, edgar, and your comment on Andre.

You sent me searching about Dinah, however.

Her real name was Frances "Fanny" Rose Shore, and she was born in Winchester, Tennessee. Stricken with polio at 18 months of age, she recovered after receiving the Sister Kenny treatment. She became a cheerleader at Hume-Fogg High School in Nashville and went on to graduate from Vanderbilt University in 1938. She died from cancer. Sad

Know everyone of those songs with Bobby, Texas.

Speaking of "shore", going to play this one again for our Aussie friends. From ship to shore.
