ehBeth, what edgar said. Love vibraphones.

hbg, I really love Mario Lanza. He did Enrico Caruso. They both died too soon. If I Loved You was marvelous.

edgar, Thanks again for your comments, and I certainly know Buddy Holly's Everyday. Gene Austin's My Melancholy Baby was great as well. Didn't know Carl Dobkins My Heart is an Open Book, but it was really good and once again, thanks for the introduction.

Hear is Mario doing Enrico.

g' day , msletty , ed and all listeners !

today is the birthday of Charlie Musselwhite ( aka. the white BLUESMAN )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtMvv34LAmI

Quote:
Charlie Musselwhite (born January 31, 1944) is an American electric blues harmonica player and bandleader,[1] one of the non-black bluesmen who came to prominence in the early 1960s, along with Mike Bloomfield and Paul Butterfield. Though he has often been identified as a "white bluesman",[2][3] he claims Native American heritage. Musselwhite was reportedly the inspiration for Dan Aykroyd's character in the Blues Brothers

another birthday boy - hope you'll like his " mellow " playing : Bobby Hackett

... with the " Jitterbug Waltz " ... cool Cool cool ...

Quote:
Robert Leo "Bobby" Hackett (January 31, 1915 – June 7, 1976) was an US jazz musician who played trumpet, cornet and guitar with the bands of Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman in the late thirties and early forties. Hackett is probably most well known for being the featured soloist on some of the Jackie Gleason mood music albums during the 1950s

@hamburgboy,
hbg, Loved Charlie Musselwhite's Gone too Long. Thanks again for the info that you provide, and The Jitterbug Waltz by Bobby was great.

Tuxedo Junction by those young musicians from Czechien was great as well, Ontario.

Another birthday man gone too soon. First some info.

Terry Kath
Terry Alan Kath, born in Chicago, Illinois, was the original guitarist and founding member of the rock band Chicago. He died in early 1978, eight days before his 32nd birthday, from an unintentional self-inflicted gunshot wound. Wonder how it could be unintentional.

Here's a tribute to him.

@Letty,
Hi Miss Letty, keeping well I hope.

I do believe a lot of people die from accidental self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

I liked some of Chicago's music.

Here's Luke Kelly sing Raglan Road.

@edgarblythe,
As you know, I have had the same problem, edgar. Sometimes it's difficult to comment on each song.

Don't know Johnny Burnette, but Big Big World was great.

Now the real Caruso.

and the best of the best, Paul Robeson.
