Good Morning , all !

a truly great musician has his birthday today :Stephane Grappelli .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4kf5aU1Wtg

Quote:
Stéphane Grappelli (French pronunciation: [ste.fan.gʁa.pɛ'li] ; 26 January 1908 – 1 December 1997) was a French jazz violinist who founded the Quintette du Hot Club de France with guitarist Django Reinhardt in 1934. It was one of the first all-string jazz bands. He has been called "the grandfather of jazz violinists" and continued playing concerts around the world well into his 80s.[

Great songs, Latin George. Hurry back to our studio soon.

necko nomad, Love that photo, buddy.

hbg, Always good to have you here and although I don't know your birthday performer, that old moon song was great and brings back memories.

First, one to match our neko's photo.

@George,
You mean you can't dance, George? I don't believe that. If you have a sense of rhythm all you need to do is stand still and sway. Ah, I miss dancing.

@George,
Great one, George. I used that game for a while to help teach geography to my students. Wasn't she a spy?

I think it was Ambrose Bierce who said: God invented war to teach Americans geography. Loved The Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge by that guy.

Here's the flute man telling about the situation.

wonderful mix of music on our radio today and this evening. What George said, hbg. Great violinist

edgar, Don't know Honey Don't by Carl Perkins, great and thanks once again for the introduction.

Just got back from a great block party at my next door neighbor's who is a teacher. Talk about ethnicity. Japanese, German, Hawaiian, I wishI could say more, but not likely now.

Here's my goodnight song, but first some info.

Anita Baker is an American R&B/soul jazz singer-songwriter. To date, Baker has won eight Grammy Awards, and has four platinum albums and two gold albums to her credit.

Today is her birthday.
