@Letty,
I was in the Navy when Blue Navy made a hit, letty. I see how the Sunny song figures into all this now. My error, a while ago.

It was lots of fun in the Navy, mopping the boat, painting the boat, standing twelve hour watches with a touch of seasickness - But, I got my GED there, made a few friends, one of whom I stay in touch with today and got to visit Hawaii, Midway, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Japan. Also, Seattle.

Once in a San Francisco movie house, I saw a biography of Nat King Cole, as narrated by Jeff Chandler. By this time, Chandler had already died and Nat died very near the time I saw the film. I have searched for it on youtube, without success. Maybe it will turn up one day.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that navy song by the Village People reminded me of YMCA. Funny.

I had no idea that Freddy did that beautiful song For Once in my Life and the visuals were so lovely. I need to check out Jeff Chandler.

Here's the original dog song.

@Letty,
The first time I heard Freddy Cole sing that song was years ago. I was driving, listening to the radio. I was amazed to hear what I thought was Nat singing a Stevie Wonder song. But, I had thought the song was written after he died. Which it was. Then the announcer told who actually did the song.

edgar, thanks again for your comments, and I get a smile every time I hear that song by Little Jimmy Dickens' Take a old cold tater and Wait. I think you already know that the story on that one.

Welcome back, Latin George. Odd, 'cause those pigs don't look a think like Vikings.

Love The Blues by B.B. King and Eric Clapton, plus The Blues Brothers.

Be sure and see if your lovely bride likes that trailer.

Going to say goodnight with two songs,

First, some more taters.

Didn't know that version of Blues Stay Away or Santana's music.
From the Album, Cheap Thrills, recorded by Big Brother and the Holding Company, here is Janis Joplin

Too much for me to comment on, individually. I love Tex Ritter, Ray Price, the Limelighters and the rest of it. I actually got to see Ray Price one time, in San Antonio.
