@Barry The Mod,
Thanks, Barry, for restoring our signal. Glad that you introduced up to Keith Jarrett. He plays great jazz. Improvisation and phrasing is a must needed part of it. Love Green Dolphin Street as well.

Maybe if we play another Houston song, edgar or C.I. might let us know all is well.

@Barry The Mod,
You sent me searching again, Brit.

Thelma Houston (née Jackson; born May 7, 1946, Leland, Mississippi, is an American singer and actress. She scored a number-one hit in 1977 with her cover version of the song "Don't Leave Me This Way", which won the Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.

As Art said (just found out that your jazz man was inspired by him) "Nothing but the Soul"

She was excellent, incidentally, and thanks for your comment.

I think I'll play this one again, because of lot of us missed it.

Tom Petty - The Last DJ.

Well you can't turn him into a company man
You can't turn him into a whore
And the boys upstairs just don't understand anymore
Well the top brass don't like him talking so much
And he won't play what they say to play
And he don't want to change what don't need to change
And there goes the last DJ
Who plays what he wants to play
And says what he wants to say
Hey, hey, hey
And there goes your freedom of choice
There goes the last human voice
There goes the last DJ
Well some folks say they're gonna hang him so high
Because you just can't do what he did
There's some things you just can't put in the minds of those kids
As we celebrate mediocrity all the boys upstairs want to see
How much you'll pay for what you used to get for free
And there goes the last DJ
Who plays what he wants to play
And says what he wants to say
Hey, hey, hey
And there goes your freedom of choice
There goes the last human voice
And there goes the last DJ

Well he got him a station down in Mexico
And sometimes it will kinda come in
And I'll bust a move and remember how it was back then
There goes the last DJ
Who plays what he wants to play
And says what he wants to say
Hey, hey, hey
And there goes your freedom of choice
There goes the last human voice
And there goes the last DJ

Good morning from here in our little studio, WA2K folks.

Barry, Enjoyed all three versions of If I Were a Carpenter, but I know it best by Bobby. Really enjoyed Tom Petty's The Last DJ.

I never hear the carpenter song that I don't think of this painting.

Barry, once again you sent me searching.

Floyd Dixon (February 8, 1929 – July 26, 2006) was an American rhythm and blues pianist and singer. Rock Baby Roll was great, and thanks again for the introduction. Send in the Clowns by Judi was also a good one.

Mornin', edgar. Kellie was really good playing that harmoniam. Don't know her, but her song is a good way to start the day. Thanks for your comments, too. Yep Ed had great depth to his voice.

Guess whose birthday is today. "the jester's son."
