Hurry back, Barry. Those were great photos of Christmas Lights and Steve Forbes Autumn This Year was a great one.

edgar, Your goodnight song, She's Not There by the Zombies was a goodie as was Fats' Blue Monday.

Today is Ted Turner's birthday, and I couldn't find a decent tribute to him, but this was on last evening and I didn't get to watch all of it, but I think we all know the story.

The trailer.

Odd, my response was supposed to show the trailer. Wonder what happened?
Check it out to the right of the link

and from Bobby again.

Welcome back, Barry and McTag. I Awakened one night singing Be Thou My
Vision. I think it's an Irish hymn.

When either of you get the chance, check and see if that trailer plays. Since it was Ted Turner's birthday, I wanted to find out about the Pocahontas movie.

Here is a tribute to pets.

and, another version of Be Thou My Vision.

I saw the Captain John Smith and Pocahontas trailer with that link, letty. Pocahontas looked much older than twelve there.

Bobby Darin - Thanks for playing him.

Love that Turkish song by Can Bonomo Love Me Back was great. Here's another Turkish classical.

(Don't know that one by Bon Jovi, Barry.)

From the News Desk -
Lenny Kravitz is set to play Marvin Gaye in a new biopic. I wonder if it'll be as good as the Jamie Foxx portrayal of Ray Charles. There's a lot to live up to here....

Didn't know Lenny, Barry, so once again you sent me searching. I love dear Marvin Gaye, however.

Leonard Albert "Lenny" Kravitz is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, actor and arranger, whose "retro" style incorporates elements of rock, soul, R&B, funk, reggae, hard rock, psychedelic, folk and ballads.

edgar, I know Little Eva's Locomotion, and Vic Damone's Gershwin Medley was fabulous. He is still with us.

Going to say goodnight a bit early as I am tired.

First, another Derviche song.

Now, "old blue eyes"

Great having London and Scotland with us today

and here a hit from the 60's : " the lyon sleeps tonight " .
a hit by the " TOKENS " - Hank Medress was a member of the trio - and his birhday is today .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VqO4SxaIg4

Quote:
"The Lion Sleeps Tonight" is a song recorded by The Tokens and written as "Mbube" by Solomon Linda.

Hank Medress, Jay Siegel, and Phil and Mitch Margo, who made up The Tokens, had a Top 15 hit "Tonight I Fell in Love" in 1960, but didn't have a record label in 1961. They auditioned for producers Hugo and Luigi (Peretti and Creatore) by singing "Wimoweh" to them. Hugh and Luigi were impressed by the performance but decided that the song needed new lyrics.

closing tonight with Schumann's " Arabesque " -
played by Wilhelm Kempff - a famous geman pianist .

Quote:
Wilhelm Walter Friedrich Kempff (25 November 1895 – 23 May 1991) was a German pianist and composer. Although his repertory included Bach, Liszt, Chopin, Schumann, and Brahms, Kempff was particularly well known for his interpretations of the music of Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert, both of whose complete sonatas he also recorded.[1] He is considered to have been one of the chief exponents of the Germanic tradition during the 20th century
