Evening Ms Letty,Ed and all WA2K folks.
When Mr Spielberg "stumbled" across Michael Morpurgo's children's story about Joey he knew that all he had to add was some haunting music from John Williams.Instant hit! I have it on my blu-ray shelf.

and now something different !
the Finale of the " Musicshow of the Nations " held annually in front of the old cityhall in the city of Bremen , Germany - when bands from many nations of the world ( usually including the band and choir of the U. S. Marines ) engage in a little musical competition .
here they are , finishing their concert with " Entrance of the Gladiators "
and the " Slavechoir from Nabucco " - a bit spinetingling , i say !

Good morning, peeples. Did you hear the one about the Iranian, the Scot and the minister? Neither did I. I was hoping you might tell me.

@Letty,
thanks ms. letty , for remembering Diana Krall's birthday -
you probably know she is a " good , old - well , young Wink - canadian " .

Quote:
Diana Jean Krall, OC, OBC (born November 16, 1964) is a Canadian jazz pianist and singer, known for her contralto vocals.[2] She has sold more than 6 million albums in the US and over 15 million worldwide. On December 11, 2009, Billboard magazine named her the second Jazz artist of the 2000–09 decade, establishing her as one of the best-selling artists of her time. She is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debuting at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums.[3] To date, she has won two Grammy Awards and eight Juno Awards. She has also earned nine gold, three platinum, and seven multi-platinum albums.

here she is again !

@hamburgboy,
Love that lady, hbg. Ah, yes. I know she is Canadian. Here's a great radio song by "the boss" and Elvis Costello. I guess you know that Mr. Costello and Diana are an item.

@hamburgboy,
hbg, Making Whoopee is so funny. Love that one by the three of them.

My students told me that this was my theme by Sir Elton.

you're kidding of course, edgar.

My word, hbg, those were scenes from Arsenic and Old Lace.I recall those old women singing: There is a happy land far, far, away. I liked Cary Grant in It Takes a Thief to Catch a thief. Love Sir Elton's Elderberry Wine.

How about a cold wind song.
