Good afternoon again. I have been rather busy, what with having a nap and then rearranging storage so I could put an entertainment system cabinet in there without taking it apart. Now I have to rearrange the living room.

hurry back, edgar. Good one by the fab four.

Barry, we did a tribute to Oscar earlier, but that photo of his statue in Dublin is exquisite. Don't know that one by John Lee Hooker, but I recall him doing I've Got My Eyes on you. (who is Prince)

Here is Dorian's portrait at the end.

Now, the trailer with Hurd Hatfield.

My older sister introduced me to all of the oldies.

I posted pics and told my sorry story on Izzie's Yabber thread at the time but here's a recount.Back in 2008,Prince advertised a one night only performance in Dublin,Ireland. As Dublin is an hour's flight away,I booked my ticket for the concert, along with flight tickets and hotel reservations.
Three weeks before the concert,Prince pulled out.Flights and hotel costs were non-refunderble soooooooooo,I thought I might as well get to know Dublin with my camera, which I did, hence the pic of Oscar....

Morgan, Welcome back. Great one by Adam Lambert. Remember, we PLAY music here, buddy.

In the days of Oscar Wilde, they put him in prison for being gay. I did smile at Rockhead saying he knew why he was straight, because he wasn't good looking enough to be gay. Razz

Hey, my cockney friend. Prince's Purple Rain would not play here, but I know him and his music. How great to meet celebrities. Some are fun and some are not so much fun.

How about one by Sir Elton.

good evening all !
today is the birthday of Franz Liszt -
here is LANG LANG playing : " Liebestraum = Lovedream " .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQN5UhvAPq4

Quote:
Franz Liszt (German: [fʁant͡s lɪst]); in Hungarian: Liszt Ferencz, in modern use Liszt Ferenc[1] (Hungarian pronunciation:
); from 1859 to 1867 officially Franz Ritter von Liszt[2] (October 22, 1811 – July 31, 1886) was a 19th-century Hungarian[3][4][5] composer, pianist, conductor and teacher. Liszt became renowned in Europe during the nineteenth century for his virtuosic skill as a pianist. He was said by his contemporaries to have been the most technically advanced pianist of his age (though Liszt vehemently denied this, stating that Charles-Valentin Alkan undoubtedly had superior technical facility[6]), and in the 1840s he was considered by some to be perhaps the greatest pianist of all time.[7] Liszt was also a well-known and influential composer, piano teacher and conductor. He was a benefactor to other composers, including Richard Wagner, Hector Berlioz, Camille Saint-Saëns, Edvard Grieg and Alexander Borodin.[8]

Good morning, WA2K listeners and contributors.

Hey, Water Man, welcome to WA2K radio.

Morgan, Thank you for complimenting WA2K.

Barry, Thanks for the correction on The Prince and Joni Mitchel's song.

hbg, You missed out salute to Litz, but he is worth more than one, methinks. Loved the Lang Lang version and Bugs Bunny was funny.

Once again, here are the lyrics to the Litz's Dream of Love song:

In all my dreams i only dream of you, love
i guess it was meant to be
and all those dreams, you make them all come true, love
i know you're the one for me

and through my darkest night
you send your brightest light
and make me feel so strong
so strong in your nude embrace
so weak near your shining face

in all my dreams you take me to the stars, love
and that's where i long to stay

Ah, Ontario, I adore Victor Borge. He also played The William Tell Overture upside down and backwards and when inflation was robbing us, he inflated the language by saying: Any two four eleveneth . He is indeed our Great Dane as is our sculpture, hebba.

Mandolins in the Moonlight was lovely as well.

Victor died after returning from a concert in Copenhagen, Denmark, and that reminded me of Danny Kaye doing Hans Christian Anderson.

Now, another birthday man.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ6cjHp_5s0

He directed so many fine movies, yawl.

Hurry back, edgar.

Hope I didn't miss anyone, but as you know, my way of thanking everyone is to thumb them up. To whoever thumbed up my contributions, thank you as well.
