Good morning from here in Florida.

So nice to have Ontario with us last evening.
Wish that I could comment on all his songs, but suffice it to say I enjoyed them all.

edgar, My Old Man by The Smothers Brothers was great.

Welcome back, Brit.

Loved Jenn Bostic's Jealous of the Angels as well as Jools Holland's Rock me.

Today is John Coltrane's birthday, so here is one that I love by him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRh7M9zQiIc&feature=related

and, yawl, our poem for today.

One by One poem

One by one,

Branch to branch,

Leaves topple.

ZigZag

Through motionless October,

Struggle,

Founder –

Golden Birds

With broken wings

here is andre rieu with an old german hit : The Sports Palace Waltz
( the sport palace was a huge indoor sport facility in berlin - it was also used for dance competitions , political rallies and concerts )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFZA79rQRBw&feature=related

Quote:
The Berliner Sportpalast (built 1910, demolished 1973) was a multi-purpose winter sport venue and meeting hall in the Schöneberg section of Berlin. Depending on the type of event and seating configuration, the Sportpalast could hold up to 14,000 people and was for a time the biggest meeting hall in the German capital. The Sportpalast is most known for speeches and rallies that took place during the Third Reich, particularly Joseph Goebbels' 1943 "Total War" speech.

here is Max Schmeling - at one time one of the world champion boxers -
after one of his matches at the Sport Palast .

Love Greensleeves by the "trane" man.

This one is titled Autumn Leaves, but there are three songs included, and I know every one of them.

edgar, Country Waltz by Lefty I don't know but it was a good one, Texas

@hamburgboy,
hbg, I did NOT know that Bach meant little river. Loved that funny Figaro, and Little Rivers' Help is On the Way was great. Thanks for the introduction.

Ah, I remember Don Ho quite well and love Tiny Bubbles, buddy.

How about some Italian composed by an Austrian. We'll dedicate this one to all Roman Catholics in A2K.

That's the first time that I have seen Andrea open his eye lids.
