@Barry The Mod,
Glad that you're alright, dear Barry.

Loved the Pet Shop Boys; The Kinks; Maurice Jarre and especially Dudley Moore.

The Dudley Moore Trio is a 1969 jazz album and the second LP recorded by the British jazz trio led by musician, composer, actor and comedian Dudley Moore. It was released in 1969 on Decca Records in the UK and Australia, and on London Records in the USA.

Hope our edgar is alright, but it's time for me to say goodnight.

I played these two before, but I love them, so I think that I shall play them again.

Now, Celine again.

Wonderful to have Dublin and London with us. Hope Ontario is alright as well

From Letty with love to everyone

Good morning, y'all peoples. Hopefully today will approach placid. If not - Oh, well. After all, tomorrow is more of the same, unless it's not.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, edgar. Speaking of Placid, the funniest movie I ever saw was Lake placid with Betty white. Loved that one by Paul Simon, Texas.

How about some smooth jazz for the early morning here in our wee studio.

and, yawl, the lyrics.

In A Sentimental Mood I can see
the stars come thru my room
While your loving attitude is
like a flame that lights the gloom
On the wings of ev'ry kiss
Drift a melody so strange and sweet
In this sentimental bliss you make
my Paradise complete

Rose pearls seem to fall
It's all like a dream to call you mine
My heart's lighter thing since you
made me this night a thing divine
In A Sentimental Mood
I'm within a world so heavenly
For I never dreamt that you'd be
loving sentimental me

Happy Birthday, Ragman!

I came across an amazing cover of Prince's Purple Rain performed by an 18 year old British singer, Chelsea Redfern.

It is now love bug season here in Florida, and they swarmed all over me when I went out today.

@Rockhead,
Welcome back, Rock. You sent me searching once again.

Train is an American pop rock band from San Francisco, California, . The band currently consists of a core trio of Pat Monahan (vocals), Jimmy Stafford (guitar), and Scott Underwood (drums).

Great one, buddy.

Another Train. Without love where would those bugs be now. Razz

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Two Trains Running by Paul Butterfield was great. Never heard that one.

Speaking of "two trains"

Here's John Coltrane with an instrumental version of my "telling song" and a vocal by Ella. She was so good when she didn't scat.

Now, Ella.

@Ragman,
I was also very impressed. It is tough to do a song that is so associated with Prince. His original is great but little Chelsea did a powerful job.

@Barry The Mod,

I wonder if you started at the beginning of this fecund thread and played all the music, how long it would take to play.
Would you ever get to the end?

Truly we are blessed.

@Barry The Mod,
Welcome back, Barry. What a fantastic trilogy from George and Peggy. Know every one of them.

I just found out that England Dan and Tom Ford Colley are from Texas. Love this song by them.

And, our poem for this evening.

The Night has a Thousand Eyes

The night has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet the light of the bright world dies
With the dying sun.

The mind has a thousand eyes,
And the heart but one:
Yet the light of a whole life dies
When love is done.
Francis William Bourdillon

Welcome back to you as well, McTag.
