@edgarblythe,
Thanks for restoring our signal, edgar. Love Hank Jr's version of the his father's Howling at the Moon. Eli Whitney made more money with exchangeable parts for rifles than he did with his cotton gin.

From the news desk, as Barry would say.

Wonder if they'll meet our Prince there.

If not, maybe this one.

Jumping over to the Science Desk -
NASA 905, a modified Boeing 747, will ferry Space Shuttle Endeavor from Kennedy Space Center, Fla., Sept. 17, across the country to its final destination, Los Angeles, landing Sept. 20. On the morning of Sept. 20, the 747 and Endeavour will take off from NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center here at Edwards and perform a flyover of Palmdale, Lancaster and Rosamond before heading for a low-level flyover of Northern California. The aircraft also will conduct a flyover of many Los Angeles sites before landing about 11 a.m. PDT at LAX. (NASA photo)

@Barry The Mod,
As usual, Barry, your photo take us there. Thanks for the memory. Don't know Nell Bryden, but her Sirens song says so much. I get rather shaky thinking about the 9/11 horror.

Here's another birthday gal. Maybe she'll help cheer us up with her great song.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the comment, edgar. I love Cat's Peace Train. Had no idea that the man had TB.

Here's one to match Cat.

I guess your PD was a bit shaky as the transcript should have said Takes us there.

I thought Vaughn Monroe recorded the first Ghost Riders in the Sky. Turns out Burl Ives beat him by a month.

edgar, Elvis doing Brahms was good, and obviously euro thought so as well. I had forgotten Wayne Newton. Red Roses for a Blue Lady was a good one.

euro, I have always loved Leonard and Bird on a Wire is one of my favorites by the man.

tsar, That Muppet presentation sure gave all of us a smile. Love it and the popcorn music I know, but can't name it.

Today is this great performer's birthday, so let's listen to a tribute to Barry.

Don't know why everything suddenly turned grey in my wee studio, but someone keeps stealing Barry's tribute. Embarrassed

I'll try to rescue Barry White later, yawl.

@Letty,
Wayne was great, pretty unique voice. Ahh the Muppet's. Smile

Don't know Tom Jobin but I enjoyed him, he's like a Latin Elton John.
