good afternoon , msletty :
sorry to hear you are feeling poorly Sad Smile

hope ferrante and teicher can cheer you up a little :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhNHS_J2TOs

( btw it's lou teicher's birthday today )

Quote:
Louis Milton Teicher (August 24, 1924, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania - August 3, 2008, Highlands, North Carolina) was an American piano player, half of the duo Ferrante & Teicher.

Teicher died of heart failure at his summer home. He was 83.[1]

"No one was more blessed than I to have Lou Teicher as my best friend since we met at the Juilliard School of Music at the ages of 9 and 6. Although we were two individuals, at the twin pianos our brains worked as one. Lou was certainly one of the world's most gifted pianists. I will miss him dearly and as pianists it's ironic how we both ended up living on keys," his longtime partner Arthur Ferrante, who lived on Longboat Key, Florida, said in a statement at the time of Teicher's death. Ferrante subsequently died on September 19, 2009

@hamburgboy,
Ah, I love that pair, hbg. Just to test my memory, lets see if I can remember the lyrics:

Raindrops keep falling on my head,
Just like the man whose feet are too big for his bed,
Nothing seems to fit.
But I know I'll never stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free,
Nothing's worrying me.

Thanks for the info, and My Bonnie Lies over the Ocean. Certainly know that one.

and from dear Sam Cooke.

@edgarblythe,
Yeah! our edgar's back. Glad you weren't in the Tijuana jail, buddy. Like that one by The Kingston Trio.

Get out the trumpets for our Texas friend.

@Letty,
YeeHaa! the Texas Troubadour is back in town. http://www.picgifs.com/smileys/smileys-and-emoticons/cowboy/smileys-cowboy-052901.gif

That was quite a set from Herb Miss Letty. Louis & Danny were great together.
I was brought to a couple of bullfights in my early teens, while on holiday in Spain. Don't remember much about it, not something I'd go to now.

I bet the Kingston Trio's song is based on a lot of true stories, great tune.
