I have not been following Madonna, but I have seen her do a few things I liked. The music by her, here, is good.
Greetings hbg. 'Preciate it.

Good early morning from Florida WA2K radio folks.

Morgan, I wish that Madonna would rely on her voice and not her body to attract listeners. That's why old time radio was great. One listened, and didn't look.

Hey, Brit. Loved People Get Ready; Tina's Steamy Windows; Let's Stay Together, and hbg's Johnny Mercer's song by Margaret Whiting.

Thinking of euroGeorge this AM and found this one that he played long ago on our radio.

edgar, thanks for monitoring our contributors.

Hurry back, edgar, as well as the rest of our great contributors.

My daughter is going to a concert in Charlottesville, Virginia this weekend, so I thought that I would play a song by the man she plans to hear.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOGUCkc6Ozw&feature=related

and here is the poet to whom he refers.

By William Blake
1757-1827

TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?

Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

I consider Kristofferson more of a writer and thinker than singer or actor.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for restoring our signal, edgar.

I guess beauty is in the ear of the listener, Texas. Razz

Love My Sweet Lord by George. I think that he was the best of the Beatles.

Well, speaking of Texas, I'm praying for rain.

@edgarblythe,
I love Rolf Harris, edgar. Are you still getting rain in Texas? I thought we were supposed to be in the dust bowl. What a memory those frogs have for me.

When I was a wee thing, I always signed my letters with: I Am a Frog.

There are many versions of this but Jimmie does a good one.

As you know, edgar, I have grown to love Buddy Holly. Well Alright was a good one. Ah, The Day the Music Died.

Thanks for the comment on Jimmy.

How about some Jim Croce now.

edgar, I loved Stonwall Jackson's Why I'm Walking. Didn't know it, so thanks for the introduction.

Welcome back, Brit. That Little River Band's It's a Long Way There was great. Didn't know them either, but I had to smile at one of the comments. "..I'm a black man from Virginia..."

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First, My Telling Song by Diana.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5O7PtpFWQQ&feature=related

Now, I think we missed this one by euroGeorge.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsqorRyeWjw

Hope all the other countries will be back with us tomorrow, but it's always nice to have our Brit/Barry with us. Sorry that I missed your goodnight song. Don't look Back in Anger was great

From Letty with love and admiration.
