Good morning to all of our WA2K listeners and contributors.

hbg, Thanks for the recognition. I got my birthdays mixed up yesterday. Had no idea that Kay Starr did Ghost Riders, buddy.

The Kaiser Polka was great as was the Alphon Klang.

Welcome back, Morgan. Don't know Usher's Scream, but it was a goodie.

edgar, you hurry back and thanks for the comment on Nat's songs.

We may be headed for another "dust bowl" y'all. John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath may have been a predictor.

Thinking of Woodie Guthrie this A.M. but here's a different version.

And, The Dust Bowl.

@edgarblythe,
Yep, edgar, Woodie tells it like it was and may be again. The farmers ravaged the earth growing corn, etc, to feed the troops.

How about a little jazz now.

Bud introduced me to them some time back.

Thanks, edgar, for your comment.

Is that the same Chicago that did 25 or 62 4? Great one whatever it was.

Welcome back, Brit. Curtis Mayfield's It's All Right was great. Had me clapping my hands as well.

Speaking of the dust bowl.

@edgarblythe,
Great one by The Four Aces, edgar. I didn't know it, however. Thanks again for the introduction.

The last concert that I attended way by this guy. I love his flute and his voice.

edgar, Loved that Swinging Shepherd's Blues.

Welcome back, Brit. Truly enjoyed The Time Get It Up was great.

Couldn't get Your Girl Friend to play but I listened on another tube. Razz

Love the one you stole from ehBeth, too and you hurry back.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First, a tribute to a birthday guy.

I Really liked his Dead Poet's Society.

Now, maybe the fab four will send us some much needed rain.

Robin Williams is a pretty complex guy.
The Beatles Rain reminds me that we got daily rain for a week and a half and a little more is possible.

Good morning from here in Florida.

edgar, We're having a drought here. So please tell Bobby to alter his lyrics to say, "...rain..rain...come and stay. We need your tears to light out way...at least for a week or one more day..."

hbg, I really enjoyed De La Mer, and always enjoy having you here, but my favorite was La Traviata. I guess that's because I know it.

Welcome back, Morgan. Love that one by "the eternal virgin" when she portrayed Calamity Jane. Yep, her secret love became known to the world, because she shouts it from the highest hill.

Here's a birthday man.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLONgF8a_Ig&feature=related

and a painting to match mismi's Icarus.

http://campillos.ucmerced.edu/~jmahoney3/music/UCMJazz/Henri_Matisse_Jazz_Icarus.jpg

What a surprise to discovr that Matisse wrote a book called Jazz.
