@hamburgboy,
Strange, hbg. I just lost my response in a strange and fascinating way.

For a moment there I thought that you meant seniors as in graduation. I recall everything about my senior year in high school.

Up early this morning, as a song awakened me from the TV show Cold Case.

My One and only love by "old blue eyes"

@edgarblythe,
Hurry back, edgar, and Welcome back euro. Love the Bee Gees and that song by them was great, Irish.

Sassy Miss Sarah sings about honey bees.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=572scQO4ZxU

Odd news about them stingers.

Hell’s Kitchen, NY — It wasn’t an accident that trapped a family in their car in New York City. Instead, it was giant swarm of bees.

An estimated 10,000 honey bees gathered on the side view mirror of the Volvo at Pier 52 on Sunday afternoon.

The family inside tried driving the vehicle around, even tried to shake the bees off. But nothing worked.

Eventually, they were able to climb out a driver’s side window while police tried to remove the bees.

A police officer, who is also a bee keeper, was called in with a vacuum to suck off the bees and carry them away.

After clearing off the mirror, crews saw a small beehive located in the mirror. Experts believe the queen bee may have relocated onto the mirror from another hive and the other bees.

and I thought they were vanishing from the planet.

The SpaceX Falcon 9 test rocket lifts off from Space Launch Complex 40 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida May 22, 2012. The rocket blasted off on Tuesday for a mission designed to be the first commercial flight to the International Space Station. The mock shuttle Explorer, in the foreground, had been on display at the Kennedy Space Center Complex, and will be moved to the Johnson Space Center in Houston this week in order to make room for the arrival of Space Shuttle Atlantis.

@Barry The Mod,
Welcome back, Barry, we were concerned about you. Thanks for the info on the space rocket. Laura wouldn't do her thing here in the U.S., but you sent me searching.

Laura Marling

Laura Beatrice Marling (born 1 February 1990) is an English folk musician from Eversley, Hampshire.

Initially prominent within the London folk scene, she has also toured with a number of well-known indie artists in the UK. Her debut album Alas, I Cannot Swim and her second album I Speak Because I Can were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2008 and 2010 respectively. I listened to her and she has a great voice.

More synchronicity.

@Letty,
Hi Miss Letty, folks.

I've spent the last half hour watching the Eurovision song contest, 1st semi final. Ireland are in this one. 10 from the 20 acts tonight go through. Ireland are represented by the same lunatics as last year, Jedward. My brain is numb, I need to listen to some real music.

Minnie Riperton.

They scraped through, damn!.

@eurocelticyankee,
euro, Minnie Riperton's Loving You was great. Especially like her falsetto, and that song tells it like it should be.

Our art for today.

Mexican artist Diego Rivera's 1939 oil painting "Girl in Blue and White" could be the most expensive piece of Latin American art ever auctioned.

Rivera's painting could break the auction record, fetching over 7.2 million, at the Sotheby's Latin American art auction in New York.

We'll dedicate that to JLNobody.

Good day kind folk! May I briefly interrupt this broadcast for a little announcement... Would any kind hearted and wealthy strangers like to throw a £ at this?

http://www.justgiving.com/Annie-PerryGoldChallenge/?targetdevice=desktop

Ok I haven't actually started to run yet, but I will... And the money will be going to a noble and worthy cause!

Are we allowed to post fundraising things on here? Only one way to find out...

Thanks all

@edgarblythe,
ah, edgar, so sorry that you're a bit under the weather. Love Hello Young Lovers by Johnny, buddy.

Here's an oldie originally done by Cannonball Adderly, called Mercy, Mercy, Mercy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3iq_sYZ6WA&feature=related

and the lyrics

Mercy Mercy Mercy Lyrics

My baby, she made out of love,

Like one of those bunnies out of a playboy club,

But she's got somethin' that's greater than gold,

Crazy 'bout that girl, 'cause she got so much soul!

I said she got the kind o' lovin', kissin' and a-huggin'

Sure is mellow, glad that I'm her fellow, and I know

That she knocks me off my feet, have mercy on me!

'Cause she knocks me off my feet!

There is no girl in the whole world

That can love love me like you do!

Well, oh, my baby, when she walks by

All the fellows go "Ooh!" and I know why.

Is it because that girl she looks so fine,

And if she ever leaves me I will lose my mind.

She got the kind o' lovin', kissin' and a-huggin'

Sure is mellow, glad that I'm her fellow, and I know

That she knocks me off my feet, have mercy on me!

'Cause she knocks me off my feet!

There is no girl in the whole world

That can love love me like you do!

I rarely donate, because can't afford to. So if I do it it would have to be for somebody I am familiar with.
