Hey, Brit. I always love the originals. They may not be as good as the upgraded ones, but still, it's nice to know. (Carrie waved back)

So, Old Blue Eyes, wasn't the first to do it his way.

Wandel, Welcome back. I saw Hang em High with Clint and that version by Booker T et al was great.

Another original. So, Bobby Darin wasn't the first.

Hey, Brit. Keep those eyes open, but mainly your ears. Love Any Day Now. Thanks for the introduction.

edgar, I had no idea "the crooner" did that. We're on the learning channel on WA2K radio.

This one is NOT good, but it's the original.

With this theme is a tribute to a TV series called Hennesey. If you look at the photos associated with the show, you will be able to pick out Bobby Darin. He played a malingering sailor, who finished off the episode by singing Mack the Knife.

I love those old films and songs, barry.
In 1973, Columbia released an album of songs Dylan never intended to put on a record. They did this because he put his latest album, Planet Waves, on Asylum Records. Then they made up and Planet waves was later reissued on Columbia.

Quote:
Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise, usually referred to as Morecambe and Wise, or Eric and Ernie, were a British comic double act, working in variety, radio, film and most successfully in television. Their partnership lasted from 1941 until Morecambe's death in 1984. They have been described as "the most illustrious, and the best-loved, double-act that Britain has ever produced".[1] In a list of the 100 Greatest British Television Programmes drawn up by the British Film Institute in 2000, voted for by industry professionals, The Morecambe and Wise Show was placed 14th. In September 2006, they were voted by the general public as number 2 in a poll of TV's Greatest Stars and in 2011 their early career was the subject of the television biopic Eric and Ernie.

Good morning from Florida. Had a wonderful evening with my daughter. We went to a place near by that overlooks the ocean and the food was fantastic and cheap. That is VERY unusual.

I wish I could acknowledge each of the great music played here, but I'm still a wee bit tired from last night's festivities.

More synchronicity. Today is Bobby Darin's birthday, and I recall Kevin Spacey doing his life story.

News about Kevin:

US actor and director Kevin Spacey has appeared in South Africa for the premiere of a local short film he helped produce and in which he stars.

With backing from a whiskey company, Kevin ran a contest to find film making talent from the United States, Russia and South Africa.

A tribute to Bobby.

Remember, my way of thanking each person and their contributions is to thumb up your songs.

@Barry The Mod,
Odd, Brit. I don't see any straw in your ears.

Great jazz version of that scarecrow song.

Last evening, they played this one, and I told Carrie that it reminded me of ME

Also reminds me of JPB's Journey.

Actually, Dorothy never went to Oz. She simply had a brain injury and survived through the help of those three guys.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, edgar, and thanks for your comments.

Don't know You're the Reason I'm Living by Bobby. Thanks for the memory, Texas.

Another original. Stunned to find out that The Carpenters weren't the first.
