Good morning Miss Letty & all WA2K folks.
Got sidetracked yesterday evening, as you do, but managed to listen back to most of what's been on offer.

HBG your music is great, always upbeat and uplifting. Wonderful lunar photo Barry & great sounds too.
I love the song 'Scarlet Ribbons', I'd never heard Harry sing it, nice one Ed.
Paul Robeson and Mario Lanzo were great Miss Letty.

Now back to 'Scarlet Ribbons'. I love The Fureys version of it and was going to play it for you BUT I cant find it on youtube, sooooo I'll play you Maggie instead.
The Fureys. - - Maggie.

Good morning to all, everywhere.

hbg, loved all your songs, especially Fiddler on the Roof's Sunrise; Sunset. Also loved Anchors Aweigh, buddy. Sorry that I can't comment on all of them.

edgar, Harry's Scarlet Ribbons reminds me that the same guy wrote this one.

Yawl remember the cry for help in the skies, right? Mayday; Mayday; Mayday. Razz

euro, I love When You and I were Young Maggie and here are the lyrics in English.

I wandered today to the hills, Maggie
To watch the scene below
The creek and the creaking old mill, Maggie
Where you and I used to go.

The green grove is gone from the hills, Maggie
Where first the daisies sprung
I love you today as of old, Maggie
When you and I were young.

Oh they say that I'm feeble with age Maggie
My steps are much slower than then
My face is a well written page Maggie
And time all along was the pen

Oh they say we have outlived our time Maggie
As dated as songs that we've sung
But to me, you're as fair as you were Maggie
When you and I were young

Oh they say we have outlived our time Maggie
As dated as songs that we've sung
But to me, you're as fair as you were Maggie
When you and I were young
When you and I were young

Feeling good this morning. Heard from my daughter.

Hope that I didn't miss anyone of our contributors, but here is a birthday gal doing one of my favs by her.

I began buying Judy's albums in 1968. I got the one with Both Sides now the same week it was released and still have those records. Nowadays I have a two disk set of her best known songs to play as I drive.

Rachel K Collier - Hard Road To Travel.

I've got a hard road to travel and a rough rough way to go
I've got a hard road to travel and a rough rough way to go
But I can't turn back, my heart is fixed
My mind's made up, I'll never stop
My faith will see me through

I'm all alone, this lonesome road I roam
I've got no love to call my very own
Oh the river gets deeper, the hills get steeper
And the pain gets deeper every day

I've got a hard road to travel and a rough rough way to go
Said it's a hard road to travel and a rough rough way to go
But I can't turn back, my heart is fixed
My mind's made up, I'll never stop
My faith will see me through

Aah, oh oh
Aah, oh oh

I dream of a home far beyond the sea
Where there is love and peace and joy for me
Oh, in my eyes I see troubles and dangers for me
But destiny where it leads me I must go, hey

I've got a hard road to travel and a rough rough way to go
Said it's a hard road to travel and a rough rough way to go
But I can't turn back, my heart is fixed
My mind's made up, I'll never stop
My faith will see me through

Aah, oh oh -
Aah, oh oh -

Welcome back, Brit. George Benson's Breezin' was great as was Rachel Collier's Hard Road to Travel. Carla's L'Amour reminds us that all leaders are often deposed.

edgar, thanks again for your comments. Wow! Great one by Leonard. Fleur de Lis is proper for the " maid of orleans." I think we did The Messenger sometime back on our radio. Love his interpretation of Joan of Arc.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First a classical Nocturne.

Now, Phil

Good to have London and Dublin with us.

Here's one of my favorite jazz pieces of all time. It has such a relaxing feel to it:
Hubert Laws is arguably one of the finest flutists of all time, as well. Hope you all enjoy it, too.
