I am one handed today, folks. Sorry that I can't acknowledge each contribution as I was stung by this big fellow twice.

Wanted to play this tribute to Glenn Campbell. A few tears now.

I got stung by a bumblebee one time. It hit me a second time and then it chased me half the length of a football field, before giving up. I got a can of spray poison and came back, but it was gone by that time. Fortunately, I have never reacted to stings, other than brief pain and soreness.

I recall Glenn Campbell as an up and coming singer, when the Smothers Brothers took a shine to him. He guested on their show and did a summer fill in show. After the brothers got fired for being too controversial, Glenn got their spot. He eschewed the political and achieved a career filled with really great songs.

@edgarblythe,
A bee went up my trouser leg when I was around 12. My mother said I put Elvis to shame with the moves I was making. Little ****** still stung me.

euro, Loved Dream Academy's Life in a Northern Town. Also Jon and Vangelis I'll Find My Way Home. Double The Captain of Her Heart was a good one, too.

hbg, That bee hunter was funny. I think it worked cause all the swelling is gone now.

Thanks to all of you for your comments about Glen and your own sting experiences.

edgar, I know Dr. Feel Good's Right String Baby but the Wrong Yo Yo. Love Yo Yo Ma as well. Got them mixed up once.

You sent me searching, Texas.

"Mary Hamilton" or, "The Fower Maries" ("The Four Marys") are common names for a well-known sixteenth-century ballad from Scotland based on an apparently fictional incident about a lady-in-waiting to a Queen of Scotland or, possibly, to Catherine I of Russia.

In all versions of the song, Mary Hamilton is a personal attendant to the Queen of Scots, but precisely which queen is a mystery. She becomes pregnant by the Queen's husband, the King of Scots, which results in the birth of a baby. Mary kills the infant – in some versions by casting it out to sea or drowning, and in others by exposure. The crime is seen and she is convicted. The ballad recounts Mary's thoughts about her life and her impending death in a first-person narrative.

Joan did a great job with that one as usual.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First, a birthday man.

Now, Willie in another frame of mind. (My mom loved this one)

Precious Memories was a favorite of a man I worked with when I first had my present job. Always think of him when I hear it.
Frampton never really interested me, not that he is a bad artist or anything.
