Here's an oldie from from memory lane, a number featured in Tokyo Joe,
a Humphrey Bogart flick : These Foolish Things.

It comes to mind whenever the month of March rolls along.

hbg, just glad that you're alright. I'm a bit under the weather myself. Allergies again.

edgar, thanks for recognizing each song and participant. I'm simply not able to do so, I'm afraid

Sorry about Earl Scruggs. Loved Flat and him.

euro, Always love your Irish songs and glad you're doing ok.

Nomad man. Love These Foolish Things.

Hey, Brit. Always enjoy your music as well. I now recognize the Airforce song as being In the Mood. Will never know about Glen Miller, I'm afraid.

Today is this lady's birthday so here is a tribute to her.

Here's two girls that share the same birthday today but 2 years apart -
2334 - Doctor Beverley Crusher - born on Copernicus Luna.
2336 - Counseller Deanna Troi - born on Betazed.

Here's a rare shot of the 2 girls sharing a work-out and indulging in girl talk....

@Barry The Mod,

Our mini-orchestra is rehearsing Yoda's Theme and other bits of the Star Wars Suite and it's really very good.

Tonight I thought I would like to share with your listeners this goldy oldie from our Flying Pickets:

McTag and Barry. Love your exchanges on our radio.

How many of you Brits remember Romper Room?

"..bend and stretch; reach for the stars. There goes Jupiter there goes mars..."

That was inspired by your stretching ladies, Barry.

Love the theme to Star Trek The Next Generation

Don't know UB4o either.

Love that a capella group The Flying Pickets. Thanks, McTag for the introduction.

Been searching for this one for some time now. Here is the guy who did it.

Freddy Martin was nicknamed "Mr. Silvertone" by saxophonist Johnny Hodges. Chu Berry named Freddy Martin his favorite saxophonist. He has also been idolized by many other saxophonists, including Eddie Miller. Although his playing has been admired by so many jazz musicians, Freddy Martin never tried to be a jazz musician. Martin always led a sweet styled band. Unlike most sweet bands that just played dull music, Martin’s band turned out to be one of the most musical and most melodic of all the typical hotel-room sweet bands.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar. Don't know Oh, Darlin' by The Fab Four. Good one, however.

Here's another that I've been searching for and finally found.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTasxud2ukY

and the lyrics.

A Spanish cavalier stood in his retreat,
And on his guitar play'd a tune, dear;
The music so sweet they'd oft-times repeat.
The blessing of my country and you, dear.

Chorus.
Say, darling, say, when I'm far away.
Sometimes you may think of me, dear;
Bright sunny days will soon fade away,
Remember what I say and be true, dear.

I'm off to the war, to the war I must go,
To fight for my country and you, dear;
But if I should fall in vain, I would call
The blessing of my country and you, dear.-Chorus.

When the war is o'er to you I'll return.
Back to my country and you, dear;
But if I be slain, you may seek me in vain,
Upon the battle-field you will find me

No one in my family left to ask about why I know what I know.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar, and you sent me searching again.

Paul "Biff" Rose is an American comedian and singer-songwriter.

Born in New Orleans, Rose first came to prominence as a banjo-toting standup comedian, profiled in Time magazine in 1965. By 1966 he moved to Hollywood, working as a comedy sketch writer with George Carlin for a host of television variety shows, ultimately working with some regularity on the Mort Sahl show. Eventually, Rose moved back to songwriting.

That bit by Bif was funny. Thanks for the smile.

Here's one that took me some time to figure out. To over simplify, it was simply the theory of evolution. The apes and the monolith represent that aspect.
