@edgarblythe,
I love Spanish Lace by Gene, edgar.

This may be a fable, but lets look anyway.

Now a little history from the oldest city in America.

St. Augustine is still a beautiful city.

It is sometimes hard to believe people can be that naive, but it really happens all the time.

@edgarblythe,
Times of Your Life by Paul Anka was great, edgar. Unfortunately, people like to believe in those fantasies.

A birthday man, but first some info on Paul Miles

This multitalented singer songwiter and musician (plays guitar,piano,bantar,and more) has decided to go back to the basis of American Popular music “The Blues” and use this as venue to share his love of music and spead his message of Peace to the masses. He had influences of James Brown, Jimi Hendrix and Richie Havens but decided to go back a little further to artists like Lightning Hopkins,B.B.King, Mississippi John Hurt, Furry Lewis for some inspiration.

I never heard of Paul Miles, but he is a good artist.
I see Jerry Lee Lewis is engaged for the seventh time. She is his cousin's ex wife. The cousin played drums in Jerry's original band.

@edgarblythe,
Love that one by The Band, edgar. My goodness, Jerry Lee needs to get married instead of engaged so many times.

The Band's mention of down the Mississippi to the gulf of Mexico, reminded me of this golden oldie. Remember Stan Kenton?

@edgarblythe,
How's My Ex Treating you by Jerry Lee was great, edgar. Thanks for your comment about Stan. I think the vocalist was the misty Miss Christy.

Going to say goodnight early.

Good morning, WA2K, folks.

edgar, Thanks again for your comment and for that Beatles' memory as well as your goodnight song. Loved Cassandra by Danny.

hbg, Loved all your Spanish songs.

Spanish Eyes by Al
Spanish Dance from Swan Lake, and Carmen.

Also enjoyed the memory of My Fair Lady's version of The Rain in Spain by Julie.

I cannot believe the heavens last evening. I'll let Walt say it for me.

When I Heard the Learn’d Astronomer
By Walt Whitman

When I heard the learn’d astronomer,
When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me,
When I was shown the charts and diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them,
When I sitting heard the astronomer where he lectured with much applause in the lecture-room,
How soon unaccountable I became tired and sick,
Till rising and gliding out I wander’d off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars.

I really did walk out in the dark and saw the night full of stars and the big dipper. Never have I had such a show of glittering points of light and a sliver of a moon.

A morning gold song to match the silver of the night.

Oops, the big dipper turned on its side and spilled stardust on our signal. Hope it's cleared up now.

Breaking news. Pope Benedict dons sombrero in Mexico.
