Thanks to all of you for the German music, the French music, and the Texas music. Sorry that I cannot acknowledge each one, but you know I listen to all of it. Rockhead, unfortunately, my neighbor Gus is moving. Thanks for your music as well.

Here's an unusual melody from someone that I do not know, but love.

@Letty,
good morning , letty ,
here is some info from omar akram's website :

Quote:
Omar Akram encourages listeners to come with him on an exotic Secret Journey, an appropriate title for his new Real Music album since he grew up traveling around the world as the son of a United Nations diplomat living in such diverse locales as France, Cuba, Afghanistan and the Czech Republic. On Omar’s third contemporary instrumental CD, strong melodies are presented within tapestry-like arrangements carefully interweaving his acoustic grand piano with acoustic guitar, violin, duduk, flute and ethnic percussion performed by a group of world-class musicians.

“I look around me and see people who are bored, restless, stagnant,” explains Akram, “and I know they often take ‘secret journeys’ in their mind as they daydream about other places they could be. The lucky ones get to take an actual trip where they escape from the pressures of their lives. They see new places and have uncommon experiences. I like to think the music on my album can serve as the soundtrack for their journey, whether it is a mental or a physical trip. Everyone needs to get away sometime.”

@hamburgboy,
Thanks for that info, hbg. Some of it describes me, but I interpret stagnant as still!

More synchronicity. It rained here and I found this one by him.

@eurocelticyankee,
euro, Thanks for keeping us on the air. Love that beautiful instrumental by Ronan replete with northern lights. I guess you already know how I am captivated by the Irish whistle.

Whispering Wind followed by a golden oldie, Whispering Grass.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, you know how I love Johnny Horton and Whispering Pines is great. So long ago, I was off to Tennessee to see my son and heard about a woman who had lost her son there. Somehow, this is the song that she listened to and it made me feel odd, but comforted.

@edgarblythe,
Great one, edgar. Ah, the old blues. Love it. I just found out that Alan Ladd did Whispering Smith. Need to do more research on that movie, I guess.

And the Fab Four with their whisper.

@edgarblythe,
Don't know that one by The King, edgar, nor did I know about The Whispering Smith TV series.

And while the king was looking down, Sergio stole his mighty crown. Razz

edgar, and euro, thanks again for your comments.

Texas, The Jokerman by the jester was fabulous as were the visuals. I don't think I've ever heard him sound better. The message was quite clear.

Ah, euro, Johnny Cash's Hurt was sad but worthy of note. You know how I love that Irish music, and The Coors' Old Hag was fantastic. The Irish whistle and the Irish violin are difficult to beat.

Well, yawl, Today is Victor Hugo's birthday, so here is a song from Les Miserables
