Good early morning from here in Florida, WA2K folks.

edgar, Thanks again for your comments, and I know Lavender Blue. Good one, Texas.

HBG, you are on a roll with those logs. Loved all three, and one of them reminded me of Woodchoppers' Ball by Woody Herman.

Two songs for the morning. First Bobby Darin.

Now, Crosby, Stills, and Nash.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar. You hurry back, buddy.

Today is Leontyne Price's birthday. She left the metropolitan opera in 1985 with the aria from Celeste Aida.

Here she is doing a wonderful American song. It should have been our national anthem, yawl.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, Texas. Don't know Harold Dorman, but Mountain of Love was great. It seems as though he inspired many folks with that one. Thanks again for your comment.

Somehow, your song reminded me of this one.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks, edgar. Rita had fantastic ethnicity. Don't know that one by Conway, but It's Only Make Believe was a goodie.

Thinking of Lady Day today.

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar, Lady Day is a legend.

That one by Billy Williams is great. I think many folks have changed that to "...kisses at the bottom..." Razz

Today is Roberta Flack's birthday, so guess what I'm going to play, Texas.

You and I both know to whom that was dedicated.

Oops, euroGeorge missed your contribution. Back up, Letty.

@eurocelticyankee,
You sent me searching, Irish.

Clinton Darryl "Clint" Mansell, (born 7 January 1963) is an English musician, composer, and former lead singer and guitarist of the band Pop Will Eat Itself.

After the disbanding of Pop Will Eat Itself in 1996, Mansell was introduced to film scoring when director Darren Aronofsky, hired him to score his debut film, π.Mansell then wrote the score for the next Aronofsky film, Requiem for a Dream, which has been well received. Its main composition "Lux Aeterna" has become extremely popular, appearing in a wide variety of advertisements and film trailers.

Stay With Me by him was one that I don't know, but it was haunting. Need to check out The Fountain as well

@eurocelticyankee,
Fantastic, euroGeorge. I went seeking the Fountain. (no, not the fountain of youth.)

From the movie.

Three stories - one each from the past, present, and future - about men in pursuit of eternity with their love. A conquistador in Mayan country searches for the tree of life to free his captive queen; a medical researcher, working with various trees, looks for a cure that will save his dying wife; a space traveler, traveling with an aged tree encapsulated within a bubble, moves toward a dying star that's wrapped in a nebula; he seeks eternity with his love. The stories intersect and parallel; the quests fail and succeed.

Now the theme.

Don't forget to check out Roberta. I think we all know that was written for Don McLean.
