@Letty,
Hi Miss Letty, yes that's Kirsty MacColl. What happened to her was a tragedy and what followed was a disgrace.

Engelbert singing South Of The Border was lovely.
Thank You For Being A Friend is a goody.

@Barry The Mod,
Welcome back, Brit. It's actually warm here. Love that Thank You For Being a Friend. Don't do Facebook, but if it makes you a happy bunny, I'm pleased.

Friends are so important in this life of ours. Oops, euro, missed your song by Fleetwood Mac. What a tragedy about that lovely lady. Back later to acknowledge. Once again, thanks for your comments.

Was going to put this on Songs/Poems that tell stories, but I think that I'll put it here.

Didn't know that Beatles song in the background however.

I like the Eagles, too.
Ben Gazzara was a good actor and like-able guy. I remember him best for starring in the series, Run For Your Life.

@edgarblythe,
Liked the Bandits Ed, great sound. The Beatles song was 'Child of Nature', Miss Letty, great music and poetry.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks, edgar, for your comments. I love that Tex Mex song. Don't know Big Bayou Bandits but they were great with the squeeze box and the contra bass.

Here's one that my brother sang, and I still love it.

I like that version of Swallows, letty. Pat Boone has a good record of it also.

@Barry The Mod,
Brit, I can't believe that Alice Cooper did something so beautiful. You and Me was a change that is like magic. The car demo was great as well. " what I am is what I am" was a powerful statement.

I only recall him doing the song Only Women Bleed. Nice to know that he has other approaches.

Well, I was thinking of this guy today, and low and behold up he arose.

@Barry The Mod,
Goodnight, Brit, you sleep tight and don't you let the Fredster bite.

Love Where have all the Flowers gone

Time for me to say goodnight as well, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First some info.

Entertainment News (AP)
NEW YORK (AP) -- Fans of "Soul Train" boogied down Broadway wearing afro wigs and bell bottoms on Saturday while others recounted their favorite episodes at a Harlem meeting hall in tribute to the show's late creator, Don Cornelius.
