@Letty,
hope your " mal de mer " wasn't caused by these singers and musicians from holland - they are just singing a shanty for you .

Dennis Edwards' birthday isn't until friday - but this kind of music can't sit here overnight .
it has to be presented while it's hot !!!

Quote:
Dennis Edwards (born February 3, 1943) is a soul and R&B singer, most noted for being one of Motown act The Temptations' lead singers replacing David Ruffin. He is the father of Issa Pointer, whose mother is Ruth Pointer of The Pointer Sisters.[1]

Good morning from here, everyone. Hurry back, edgar.

hbg, The Sailor Likes his Bottle was funny and PaPa was a Rolling Stone fantastic. Better sit down, Ontario, cause you're rocking the boat. Razz

Also loved Dennis Edwards' Temptations.

Welcome back, Brit. Soul Clan Soul Meeting was perfect for the day.

Art Blakey. "..nothing but the soul..."

To greet the day, here is dear Bobby Darin.

D'you know what's funny, all you radio peeps?

I've volunteered on a local radio station to play one hour of "My Music" at the end of the month, so now I've got to select stuff, 12 or 15 songs, and get it in mp3 format.
What to leave out, that's the problem. I guarantee it'll be idiosyncratic.

@McTag,
Well, my goodness. We have another celebrity disc jockey among us. Great, McTag.

Guess we need to celebrate.

So HBG reckons MacT is out on the town flashing at everything that moves and Ed reckons he's an anorexic dancer. I fear for Mr McTag.

Nazareth, Average White Band & Three Dog Night, all great. Really enjoyed 'Wild Mountain Thyme' music & video. Brigadoon was a wonderful piece of theatre.

Thanks euroGeorge for your comments. Going Home is rather sad to me.

edgar, Never did the Stroll, but it looked like fun. Thanks, Texas.

Today is Dave Davies birthday, and some of our folks here might remember The Kinks.

Nice one McT.Is this gonna be like a Desert Island Discs one off or are you planning more shows? I don't envy you making your selection.We've both been around for a long time so there's sooooooo much to chose from.
Meanwhile,my dance instructor sent me my next lesson....
