I love many Tony Bennett songs, including Stepping Out.
Well, the rain came, but the wind did not kick up around Tomball. It is all easing off now.

My word, edgar, Jany Morgan is still with us. And The Day the Rains Came was a goodie.

Glad that you didn't get blown away.

Simon and Garfunkel are going to have a reunion. Here's one that I like by them.

@eurocelticyankee,
euro, thanks again for your comments. Ray Bolger was great as were all those folks in The Wizard of Oz.

Love Venus by Shocking Blue. We'll dedicate that one to Eva. Haven't seen much of her lately.

Here's another by Ray.

@hamburgboy,
Earmuffs is what we called the things that a dj wore when he was listening to what he played in our studio, hbg.

I didn't know much of what you played, but it was fun.

Don't forget I taught those songs when we reviewed the wars, etc.

Here's one that I do know, Ontario.

edgar, often we associate music with bad times. Thanks for your funny comment on Kool.

The Language of Love was great. Don't know John Loudermilk, but he is a good vocalist.

Welcome back Brit. Thanks for the news about the Lego man where no lego has ever gone before. That gave me a smile.

Dear Etta. a great tribute and the song If You Want Me to Stay was good.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs. First Garth Brooks who WON. (check out why on the net)

@Letty,
I vaguely remember Snooky Lanson - and there was a girl on that show with a good voice, whose name I'm failing to bring up on my brain screen. Also failing to bring up the name of the show. Hit Parade? Be still my fevered mind.

edgar, thanks for your explanation and your goodnight song by Toni Fisher, I was not familiar with. Good one, Texas. Once again, I appreciate yours and euro's comments.

Hey, Irish. Loved that slide show of Dublin and it's morning here, too. I'm certain that you know Dublin Can Be Heaven.

I awakened after a good night's sleep and somehow this song was in my head.

It's by Betty Carter and although I don't know her either, she is great. First a bit of info.

Betty Carter (born Lillie Mae Jones, May 16, 1929 – September 26, 1998) was an American jazz singer known for her improvisational technique. Vocalist Carmen McRae once claimed that "there's really only one jazz singer - only one: Betty Carter"

And, folks, the song.

dj, did that one after our edgar had his book published.

I had only heard Betty sing with Ray Charles. She is very good, on her own.
Dublin can be like Heaven, or so I am told.
Good morning. See you all later today.
