@edgarblythe,
Hmm, Don't quite get "I am rose like anything", edgar, but I love that funny song by The Christmas Clowns. We need a bit of humor from time to time.

Gentleman Jim sings this one.

Mexicali Rose is a beautiful song, but Jim Reeves is one of the few that could sing it well, for some reason.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks, edgar, for the clarification of Gertrude. She created the idea of the lost generation. Thanks for your comment on Gentleman Jim, Texas.

Love Harry's I Ride an Old Paint, and speaking of paint,now I understand about Matisse's Icarus and Jazz painting.

Our art for today.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for your comment, edgar. I just become fascinated with abstracts, and that one by Mattise was one of them.

Love that song for "the jester" by The Band. Also liked their version of The Weight. Speaking of masterpiece. How about Vaughn Monroe.

edgar, thanks again for your comment. Love that one by "the king". I'll Be Home Again was great.

Ah, Brit. You are going to have a wonderful year, and you deserve it. Love that one by "the velvet fog and Judy". Always have liked that song.

Time for me to say goodnight and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

Listen to this child play. He's wonderful.

Thanks for the two Austins, letty. Last time I spent any real time in that city, it was the week the man in the university tower shot the people below. We listened to the whole thing on the radio, while building a model home for the Jim Walter Corporation, not far from downtown.

Ah, the sun is coming up here, WA2K radio folks.

Sorry that I cannot acknowledge each contribution, but I enjoyed all the music. At Last is a favorite of mine, hbg.

edgar, I saw that movie about the massacre in Austin. Kurt Russell was the shooter and it was a great depiction of a man gone mad.

Hey, Brit. O Holy Night is one of my favorite Christmas songs.

Today is Ricky Martin's birthday so here is a tribute to the man from Puerta Rico.
