Ah, you people are too good. Great music. I think I have time enough to add one more, before I quit to get myself ready for a work day.

My word, folks, it's 80 degrees here in my little corner of the world. My daughter and her designer dog, Jac, have gone to the beach.

Thanks to all of you for the great music played on our cyber radio. Wish that I could acknowledge each one, but alas, I cannot. A special thanks to edgar for hosting WA2K.

I did smile with I saw McTag's Biscuit Man as I always thought that a biscuit meant those Pillsbury type biscuits and discovered at a young age that they were sweet type cakes, etc.

Today is one of my favorite performers birthday, so here is two songs by him.

First, a tribute.

Funny name for a band.

@Letty,
Hi Miss Letty, I'm jealous it's cold here. Gloves and scarf weather.

eruoGeroge, welcome back. Modern Talking by Lady Lai was lovely. So sorry that you're cold in Dublin.

edgar, thanks again for your comments and I love that one by the Little Man. Missed your Disney tribute. Back later to comment.

Today is General Custer's birthday, and we'll never know the real truth of The Battle of Little Big Horn, but here's a lovely song about it, followed by a funny.

Please, Mr. Custer, I don't wanna go.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I had no idea that Dali and Walt were friends. That was a fascinating video. Cav/Paul and I discussed the fact that he might have been anti semitic, but I don't really know. The rumor that he was frozen/cryonics was also disputed.

Loved Johnny's Comanche, buddy.

Also sorts of fiction or fact concerning history, etc.

Here's an interesting one about Chief Crazyhorse. It's rather long, but worth a listen.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comment, edgar, Loved George's Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes. Knew most of those deceased folks.

Saying goodnight with a birthday man, but first a bit of info just in case our contributors and listeners have forgotten him.

Jim Messina (born James Melvin Messina, December 5, 1947, Maywood, California) is an American musician, songwriter, singer, recording engineer, and record producer. He was a member of folk rock legend Buffalo Springfield, a founding member of country rock pioneer Poco, and half the popular soft rock duo Loggins and Messina.

I have been doing quite a bit of research on patois recently. I hate to see those languages vanish.

Jim says goodnight for me.

Nice to have Dublin with us today. Hope he is all bundled up and staying warm.

Sunday was THE day for ethnicity.

From Letty with love to all.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, don't know Turley Richards, so you sent me searching.

Turley Richards (born June 12, 1941 in Charleston, West Virginia) is an American singer and guitarist.

Richards was blinded in the left eye at the age of four in an archery accident, and lost sight in the right eye as well some years later. He first began playing in a group called The Five Pearls while still a teen in the 1950s. His first appearance on record was a single titled "All About Ann", released on Cincinnati, Ohio label Fraternity Records.

Love Minus Zero was a good one, Texas.

Welcome back, Brit. Don't know The Flame Remains nor The Steelers.

Is this the group?

Steeler was an early 1980s American heavy metal band from Nashville. Band members included: Ron Keel on vocals and guitar, Michael Dunigan on lead guitar, Bobby Eva on drums and Tim Morrison on bass. In 1982, they released the single Cold Day in Hell.

Carrie says, Hi to you as well.

Today is Ira Gershwin's birthday so here is a tribute to him via a song.

Didn't do the beginning verse, however

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkpVn2fJJt0&feature=related

Now his lyrics:

There's a somebody I'm longing to see
I hope that he turns out to be
Someone to watch over me

I'm a little lamb who's lost in a wood
I know I could always be good
To one who'll watch over me

Although he may not be the man some girls think of
As handsome to my heart
he carries the key

Won't you tell him please to put on some speed
Follow my lead, oh how I need
Someone to watch over me
