Good morning, WA2K folks.

hbg, those songs by Thomas Quasthoff are truly amazing as is the man himself. Thanks for the info on his terrible physical handicap. He overcame it through his music and I particularly enjoyed Schubert's Serenade. Nelson Eddy sings the English lyrics; love him as well.

Hurry back, edgar, all you have to do is turn down the volume and she'll be fine.

Welcome back, Brit. Good Day Sunshine is one of my favorites by the Fab Four. Thanks for the golden ray, buddy.

Another birthday boy and some jazz for the early morning here.

@Barry The Mod,
I know that song, Brit. Is this the movie from whence it came?

At the Doll House, a 1930's New Orleans bordello, Hallie is the main attraction both for clients and for Jo, the madame. Her comfortable if tedious life is disrupted by the arrival in town of Dove Linkhorn, her true love of three years before who is now searching for her. When Linkhorn learns the truth of her profession he triggers a chain of events involving a number of people, including the young Kitty with whom he travelled from Texas and who is now the Doll House newest recruit.(Jane Fonda and Lawrence Harvey)

Brook has some advice

@Barry The Mod,
Odd, Brit, I remember the theme. (think it was because of the moog synthesizer)

Was Paladin a part of that NBC Mystery Movie? I saw that Colombo was.

Anyway, I like Paladin, so let's listen.

Good one from Dizzy.
I saw Walk on the Wild Side. Good movie. They offered the theme to Ray Charles, but Ray said he would pass. So, Brook stepped in.

@wmwcjr,
wm, welcome back. Loved that Moody Blues song, but you sent me searching again.

The Moody Blues are an English rock band. Among their innovations was a fusion with classical music, most notably in their 1967 album Days of Future Passed.

The Moody Blues have sold in excess of 70 million albums worldwide and have been awarded 14 platinum and gold discs. As of 2011 they remain active with one member from the original band from 1964 and two more from the 1967 lineup.

Well, yawl, we're doing theme songs, so let's continue.

er, Rock. Loved the way you introduced your Moody Blues song; melon collie?

Come to me my melancholy baby. Head like a melon; face like a collie. Razz

Rather sad songs by Moody Blues.

edgar, welcome back and thanks again for your comments.

Had to check out Bosom Buddies.

Two single men must disguise themselves as women to live in the one apartment they can afford.

Love that Bill Joel song. My Life is my favorite by him.

How about a different mood. Had no idea that Jimmy Stewart did The Glenn Miller story.

No resolution on what really happened to the man.
