@edgarblythe,
Hard to beat Henry, edgar. I remember the song, but not the TV series. Love the Latin approach, and thanks again for your comment.

Hard to beat Henry and Johnny, so here's another theme from a movie by them.

Don't recall the movie, either.

edgar, welcome back and Thanks for the comment as well as the song, No Arms Can Ever Hold You. That dj, is a fabulous vocalist.

Hey, Brit. Doris Day singing Oops was great. Thanks for the memory and the comment on the movie Charade. I could not find the proper information on that movie at all. I wanted to know the end of it, but no luck.

Today I met a full blooded American Indian, and I was totally taken with the man. He calls himself Dennis, but wouldn't divulge his real name.

This is not the best version of Red Wing, but I love it and sang my daughter to sleep with it many times.

@Letty,
Musical Whiz kid: Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue
http://www.tromboneshorty.com/bio.aspx

I went to see this performer (main act) by the name of Trombone Shorty, a 25-yr-old musical phenom. He appeared at the Clearwater Jazz Holiday festival last Friday night. It's a long-standing regional event, 3-day-event and attracts a sizable crowd at this outdoor venue in an attractive park overlooking the waterfront. Kevin Eubanks warmed up the crowd just prior. I knew of
Eubanks as he'd been the leader of the house-band for Jay Leno's Tonight Show for more than a decade.

In his show, Shorty plays both trombone and trumpet. He does this masterful example of circular breathing and seemingly breathless lengthy interval of triple or quadruple tonguing. This example is in the video feed I'll attach here. He does something that sounds to me to be more than triple-tonguing. I don't know if it's possible to do quadruple tonguing...but if it's possible, he did it with the trombone, too.

Oh yeah and he sings, leads his own group and does the writing and conducting, too. To close off the show, just for the sake of blowing everyone away, everyone in his 7-piece band swapped instruments, with Shorty playing the drums. They weren't just playing pedestrian level (to my ear) stuff either.

Cripes! what a show! Hope you're able to see this clip:

This is him and his band on a recent appearance on David Letterman with his new release:

The following is a clip of him doing 'St. James Infirmary':

Without giving too much away,after a foot massage in the back of a cab,and returning some very valuable postage stamps to the American Embassy,Audrey and Carey "walk hand in hand into the sunset."...

Ragman, Thanks for the info on Trombone Shorty. He was truly great. Welcome back, buddy.

Brit, I figured it had to be a happy ending. That Face says it right about Audrey. (Cary ain't so bad either)

edgar, Thanks again for the comments, and you know how I love Judy Collins. Hope the dust has cleared away for a clearer and a better day.

Going to say goodnight a bit early as it's been quite a day for your producer.

A Moon Song, of course.

So glad to have London with us. Maybe tomorrow, we can lure the rest of the world on WA2K radio.

From Letty with love to you all.

edgar, Love that goodnight song by the Fab Four. Yep, "...all the lonely people..." Didn't know The Golden Boy and the Prodigal" by Jason Gray. Fantastic, Texas, and that song does tell us a story.

Hey, Brit. Richard Bona and Eyala sent me searching.

Richard Bona (born October 28, 1967 in Minta, Cameroon) is a jazz bassist and musician. His real African name, as he said live in Montreal in a show with Bobby McFerrin, is Bona Pinder Yayumayalolo. (He said in a concert in Dominican Republic that his parent have Haitian roots)

Loved that song, and thanks for the introduction.

Speaking of jazz, how about this one for the morning here in Florida.

The lyrics now:

There are those who can leave love or take it
Love to them is just what they make it
I wish that I were the same
But love is my fav'rite game

I fall in love too easily
I fall in love too fast
I fall in love too terribly hard
For love to ever last

My heart should be well-schooled
'Cause I've been FOOLED in the past
And still I fall in love too easily
I fall in love too fast

@edgarblythe,
What a treat, huh? It did my ears good. The energy this whole group exhibited was truly a phenomenon. This is an act that shouldn't be missed whether in person or on TV. When us old jazz-loving Q-Tips (white haired over-the-hill gang) get up and shake their fannies for 1.5 hrs, its a sign of a hell of a group. Of course, it also can be a sign the seats were uncomfy too.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks, Letty. Nice returning. Good to see you back here, too, after your mini-absence.

I recall seeing Judy Collins in my youth in 1971 at Red Rock Amphitheater north of Denver. Loved her. I saw her again in CT in 2002. Very good but what a difference.

@Ragman,
My favorite by her, Ragman, was Both Sides Now. Says a lot, buddy.

I just thought of David Duchovny in the movie Evolution. He and two or three guys sang this one as they drove.

Here it is by Wild Cherry.

@eurocelticyankee,
Here's a group close to my heart - Marley's Ghost, talking about their music through the years.

I used to work with Jon Wilcox a million years ago. At the time he was a history teacher, local historian, and music researcher - local history expert for a land use exhibit we did. Oh, and marvelous musician, as are they all.

One of their performances -

I've got some cd's - not much available on youtube.
