Rock, Don't know that one by J.T. If I Keep my Heart Out of Sight was fantastic.

edgar, love your goodnight song by Bobby. I'll Be There is perfect.

Thanks again for your comments, and your morning song by Petula, I Know a Place was lovely. Hurry back, buddy.

Reyn, Welcome back and Dust in the Wind by Kansas was one of my favorites. I do like to think that we are more than dust, however. Razz

Brit, whoever wrote that song, it was beautiful. Loved the full moon and dark sky. Don't know Yann, so I can't challenge his creation. Rather reminded me of A Mid Summer Night's Dream.

A birthday boy, folks.

Good afternoon. Alan Jackson is to me one of the better active country artists.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, edgar, and thanks again for your comment.

Are You Sincere was great by Andy Williams. Don't know it, but it's the best that I have ever heard him sing.

Now a tribute to a sad man. I think The Misfits is what they call a Hollywood hi jinx because of what happened to all the players.

I recall Montgomery Clift doing a movie about Freud, too.

I watched The Misfits for the first time a few years ago. It had its moments. I liked Monty, but didn't really follow him as a performer.

@edgarblythe,
Dear Ray. Don't know that one by him, edgar, but I guess my favorite by him is Baby, What'd I Say.

Here's a new one that I discovered, so first a little info.

Broken Bells is an American alternative rock band composed of artist-producer Brian Burton (better known as Danger Mouse) and James Mercer, the lead vocalist and guitarist for the indie rock band The Shins. Broken Bells compose and create as a duo, but are joined by a full band on tour. The live band included Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band sidemen Nate Walcott and Nik Freitas, and Jonathan Hischke and Dan Elkan, both ex-members of Hella. Following the success of their first self-titled album, Broken Bells, Mercer and Burton announced intentions to record a follow-up, and released a new EP, Meyrin Fields, on March 29, 2011.

to sleep it off.
I'll be back on form in a day or two and back to annoy ye all. Razz

Hurry back euroGeorge. I enjoyed both of your songs but Irish Blood English Heart was truly good.

As my Irish friend, Al, once observed. "the Romans have their Circus, and some countries have their football fields"

edgar, great one by Jerry Lee, and thanks again for your comment.

Here's one to match, Texas.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for your observation of The Corrs, edgar. I thought that I had heard all of Jim Corce's songs, but Roller Derby Queen is new to me. I've never heard him do a bad one, frankly.

One of my favorites by him.

@Rockhead,
Love Little Richard, Rock, and that knockin' song is great. It's getting a bit chilly here as well.

Time for me to say goodnight and I think that I shall do so with two oldies.

First, one by Bobby and Connie. Here's some info on the song.

Walter Donaldson's most durable song may well have been My Buddy written in l922, inspired by the unexpected and heartbreaking death of his young fiancé and curiously adopted during World War II as a song about male camaraderie among the allied troops. A simple but mesmerizing waltz tune, which, sung by an evocative singer, can still subdue a noisy nightclub audience into a reverent silence. The lyrics were written by Gus Kahn.

I've Got a Name and Keep a Knocking are great songs.
I have a record of Bobby Darin singing My Buddy. They used the same recording and put it together with Connie's record. Good one.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, edgar. Loved your goodnight song. Arrogant Worms's Worst Seat on the Plain was funny.

Also enjoyed Ray's Don't Let the Sun Catch you Crying. Thanks again for your comments, buddy.

Weather report doesn't look too good here. Anytime tornadoes are mentioned, I think how unpredictable they are.

Here's a birthday gay who I truly admire, and although he is remembered best for Patton, I love the Changeling.

First a tribute to George.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Stq-JJgOJhA

He was from Virginia.

Now the eerie melody from that spooky movie.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gmq2-rQ4HY

It was called "the haunted music box", but I decide to play the piano version.

I think I enjoyed George best in Dr Strangelove and second, Patton. I have seen several other of his films and a TV series, in which he was the president of the USA.

@Barry The Mod,
Welcome back, Brit. Wow! Flight of the Angels was beautiful and the visuals awesome. She was a great performer. Thanks for your comment, too.

You sent me searching again.

Keiko Matsui (松居慶子?), born in Tokyo as Keiko Doi, is a Japanese smooth jazz/jazz fusion/new age/ keyboardist and composer whose career spans three decades, during which time she has released twenty CDs (in addition to various compilations) and has received international acclaim.

Another birthday boy and he does smooth jazz as well.
