Hey, wm. It was my pleasure to play that song. Like The Temptations The Way You Do the Things you do.

edgar, thanks again for your comment I don't know Anyway You Want Me by the king. Thanks for the introduction and the memory jog.

Hurry back, Brit. I saw the movie The Postman and didn't realize that it was based on a book.

The Postman (1985), is a post-apocalyptic science fiction novel by David Brin. A drifter stumbles across the uniform of an old United States Postal Service letter carrier and with empty promises of aid from the "Restored United States of America", gives hope to a community threatened by local warlords. The first two parts were published separately as "The Postman" (1982) and "Cyclops" (1984). Both were nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Novella. The completed novel was awarded first prize in the John W. Campbell Award's for the best science fiction novel of the year in 1986. and won the Locus Award for Best Science Fiction Novel that same year. It was also nominated for Hugo and Nebula awards for best novel.

In 1997, a film adaptation starring Kevin Costner was made of the novel. The US Postal Service is in deep financial trouble right now.

I bet both of you Texans will know this guy. It's his birthday.

All Through the Night I know and like very much. Not sure if it is Silver or The Lone Ranger's birthday. Happy bday to them both, just in case.

edgar, thanks again for the comment, and I really enjoyed "the jester's" Senor. Never heard that one before.

hbg, Loved the wooden trumpet. The jazz boys used to refer to someone who couldn't carry a tune as a "tin ear". Odd, no?

Here's one to greet the day in Florida by Bobby Darin.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Lee Shore.

Wheel gull spin and glide ... you've got no place to hide
'Cause you don't need one

All along the Lee shore
Shells lie scattered in the sand
Winking up like shining eyes, at me
From the sea

Here is one like sunrise
It's older than you know
It's still lying there where some careless wave
Forgot it long ago

When I awoke this morning
I dove beneath my floating home
Down below her graceful side in the turning tide
To watch the sea fish roam

There I heard this story
From the sailors of the Sandra Marie
There's another island a day's run away from here
And it's empty and free

From here to Venezuela
There's nothing more to see
Than a hundred thousand islands
flung like some jewels upon the sea
For you and me

Sunset smells of dinner
Women are calling at me to end my tales
But perhaps I'll see you, the next quiet place
I furl my sails

Welcome back, Brit, hbg, and wm. It's actually cool here in Florida.

Don't know Diane's From Rea, but I really enjoyed the song. Also the one by Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Lee Shore made me think of my shore, buddy.

hbg, I love that classical Vienna presentation. So calming to hear the cello, and the rest of the lovely instruments doing Morning Noon and Night.

Hey, wm. I love that song More, but don't know Vic Dana. He was great.

How about a bit of Cohen.

@Fil Albuquerque,
Welcome back, Fil. I see that a man from Portugal enjoys French classical music just as I do. Don't know the fellow playing the grand piano, nor Dubussy's La Cathedrale, but it's lovely.

I used to have a maidens hair fern, but it was green and is now gone. Yes, the gentle texture of sound is a beautiful way of expressing that classical piece.

Here one's with flaxen hair.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Smile I don't know anything about Vic Dana, either; but I stillI enjoyed hearing his song being played on the radio by the local rock station in Houston when I was in the seventh grade.

@Letty,
Hi Letty, glad you enjoyed it, hereĀ“s an humble flat metaphor from pop culture that can fit the sunken cathedral mood in a visual, very straight forward way, remember AI from Spielberg repertoire ?
