@edgarblythe,
edgar, That song by Donovan was captivating. Legend of a Girl Named Linda was fantastic as were the visuals. I could identify an acoustic bass being bowed as well as the acoustic guitar. Thanks again for your comments, Texas.

Had no idea that Little Anthony did that song. I remember it best by The Lettermen, wm.

Here's a combination of two songs by those fantastic guys.

Oops, edgar. Missed Paladin and Love Letters in the Sand. Know them both.

@edgarblythe,
Love that one by Kansas, edgar. Carry on my Wayward Son reminded me of this one. My mom loved spirituals.

Thanks, edgar, for you comment and I really enjoyed Della Reese's These Foolish Things.

Wow! wmwcjr is on a roll tonight. You sent me searching again.

First, Al Stewart.

Though born in Glasgow, Al Stewart grew up in the town of Wimborne Minster, Dorset, England after moving from Scotland with his mother. He attended Wycliffe College school in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, as a boarder. After that, as he sings in the song "Post World War II Blues" (from Past, Present and Future): "I came up to London when I was 19 with a corduroy jacket and a head full of dreams."

Having bought his first guitar from future Police guitarist Andy Summers, Stewart traded in his electric guitar for an acoustic guitar when he was offered a weekly slot at Bunjies Coffee House in London's Soho in 1965. From there, he went on to compete at the Les Cousins folk club on Greek Street, where he played alongside Cat Stevens, Bert Jansch, Van Morrison, Roy Harper and Ralph McTell.

Now, the Gold man.

Andrew Maurice Gold (August 2, 1951 – June 3, 2011) was an American singer, musician and songwriter. His works include the Top 10 single "Lonely Boy" (1977), as well as the singles "Thank You for Being a Friend" (1978), and "Never Let Her Slip Away" (1978).

His rendition of the theme from the television series Mad About You, titled "Final Frontier," was used as the wake-up call for the Mars Pathfinder space probe in 1996.[

Gold was a prolific multi-instrumentalist as artist, producer, film composer, session musician, actor, painter, and singer.

You played Dusty, and I noticed that she did Wayfaring Stranger as well.

Sorry that I can't comment on every song, buddy.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First for our Brit's Penney.

Tonight here, the moon is not silver but red as it rises from the ocean. Fantastic.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVVTWUz2K-Q

And, the lyrics.

Sail along, silvery moon,
Trail along lover's lane,
Sail along, silvery moon,
To my love again.

In the glow of your light,
Let me see her tonight,
Once again, hold her tight,
Back in lover's lane.

And then the whole world wll seem brighter,
As we stroll hand in hand,
Two blue hearts will be lighhter,
You understand,

Sail along silvery moon,
Trail along lover's lane,
Sail along, silvery moon,
To my love again.

Great music today on WA2K. Hope tomorrow will be more of the same.

From Letty with love to you all.

@Letty,
Hi, Letty! Smile I chose the Spirit song because you had just alluded to two particular jazz musicians and the song "Fresh Garbage" has a little jazz in it (well, what I'd consider to be jazz).

Actually, that was the child actor Billy Mumy, who also starred in two other Twilight Zone episodes and the TV series Lost in Space.

Incidentally, Opie (AKA Ron Howard) made a cameo appearance in a first-season Twilight Zone episode entitled "Walking Distance." And here he is ...
