edgar, although you have said goodnight, I want to thank you for the comments and that fantastic song by Harry. Turn Around is one I know and love. Pat's Anastasia reminds me of Mrs. Anderson of Charlottesville, Virginia who claimed to be the lost one of the Romanovs.

Hey, Brit. You sent me searching.

Bruce Randall Hornsby (born November 23, 1954) is an American singer, pianist, accordion player, and songwriter. Known for the spontaneity and creativity of his live performances, Hornsby draws frequently from classical, jazz, bluegrass, folk, Motown, rock, blues, and jam band musical traditions with his songwriting and the seamless improvisations contained within.

The Valley Road by the guys of Virginia was fantastic. Thanks for the introduction and the memory of Williamsburg.

My good morning song.

Hey, Brit. Hurry back. Loved Al Jarreau's Go Tell it on The Mountain. Reminded me of James Baldwin, and Al Green's A Change is Gonna Come was great. Let's just hope that "change" is for the better.

You hurry back as well, edgar, and thanks for the comment.

Today is Tony Bennet's birthday, so here is one by him and Michael.

@djjd62,
dj, Welcome back. Love that one by The Who. Remember The Pinball Wizard?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqmO2XZP6ps&feature=related

Forget Sir Elton,Tommy was the prime factor, Canada.

A psychosomatically deaf, dumb and blind boy becomes a master pinball player and the object of a religious cult because of that.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar. I didn't see Tommy either. Just knew that The Who did The Pinball Wizard.

My word, Texas, I know Ja-da. I've been trying to find out why I know it. Woody Allen sang it, but I never cared much for him.

I do know Eddie Condon, and I think it may be because of Bud.

@edgarblythe,
I know Al Hirt and Java, edgar. Like it, too.

Here's Coldplay with a great song and visuals by a painter named Thomas Cole.

Thomas Cole (February 1, 1801 – February 11, 1848) was an English-born American artist. He is regarded as the founder of the Hudson River School, an American art movement that flourished in the mid-19th century. Cole's Hudson River School, as well as his own work, was known for its realistic and detailed portrayal of American landscape and wilderness, which feature themes of romanticism and naturalism

@edgarblythe,
Brenda Lee did a great job with Always on my mind, edgar. All this time I thought Willie Nelson had done the original.

An instrumental of Skylark by one of my favorite jazz men.

Hoagy and Johnny. What a great team. Now the lyrics.

Skylark
Have you anything to say to me
Won't you tell me where my love can be
Is there a meadow in the mist
Where someone's waiting to be kissed

Oh skylark
Have you seen a valley green with spring
Where my heart can go a-journeying
Over the shadows and the rain
To a blossom-covered lane

And in your lonely flight
Haven't you heard the music in the night
Wonderful music
Faint as a will o' the wisp
Crazy as a loon
Sad as a gypsy serenading the moon

Oh skylark
I don't know if you can find these things
But my heart is riding on your wings
So if you see them anywhere
Won't you lead me there
Oh skylark
Won't you lead me there

@edgarblythe,
I remember Bony Maroni, edgar. Thanks again for your comment.Don't know Larry Williams, however.

I think Wilson included that song in this great song.

Here's some stuff that I found on the net about You Are Always on my Mind.

It was written by Johnny Christopher, Mark James and Wayne Carson Thompson, who were awarded a Grammy in 1983 for best song of the year.

It was originally recorded by Brenda Lee in 1972. It was later recorded by Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson, as well as numerous other artists.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comment, edgar. Don't know Frogman Clarence Henry, but loved Ain't Got No Home.

Met a man from Jamaica today and we had a delightful conversation, so my goodnight song will be about him and HIS home.

Stay cool, Rockhead. We're thinking about you.

Nice to have Canada and England with us today.

When I lived in New York, I had a friend who grew up in Jamaica. His parents had moved there from India. He was a great guy, but too heavily into drinking and the night life.
