Speaking of Wee Small Hours...

edgar, Mohair Sam by Charlie was great as well as Walk on Fire by Sophie B.

Hey, Brit. I recall that Bugle Boy best by the Andrew Sisters, but your version was excellent. Bjork's It's oh So Quiet was perfect.

Today is this guy's birthday, and although I recall him in The Terminator, this is the one that I prefer.

What a great movie, yawl.

Good morning. I appreciate Sinatra, of course.
Don't recall Michael, but I remember his part in that film.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar. Don't know Maroon 5 but that Sunday song was perfect for today.

A birthday boy.

William "Bill" Thomas Berry (born July 31, 1958, Duluth, Minnesota) is a retired American musician, multi-instrumentalist, best known as the drummer for the alternative rock band R.E.M. In addition to his drumming duties, Berry played many other instruments including guitar, bass guitar, and piano, both for songwriting and on R.E.M. records. After 17 years with the band, Berry retired to become a farmer, and has since maintained a low profile, making sporadic reunions with R.E.M. and appearing on other artists' records.

Here's one by R.E.M, folks.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar, Pennies From Heaven brought by some memories. Love that version by The Skyliners. Incidentally, Texas, I didn't know that REM song either. Just looking for a song by the birthday boy in his former days.

Speaking of memories, this one is a big surprise as I only knew it by The Lettermen.

Yes, Memories, done by Elvis and also the Lettermen, is a fine song.
I watched Cyrano de Bergerac yesterday. I just discovered there is a colorized version on youtube.

@edgarblythe,
Fantastic, edgar. Great job of colorization. To me, the original Moulin Rouge with Jose Ferrer and Zsa Zsa Gabor was far better than the remake. Couldn't find a trailer, but here is the theme.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for your comment, edgar.

A lot of folks don't like Barry Manilow, but I think he's great. Love I Write the Songs by him.

Here's another good one by Barry.

Wake up Barry the Brit. This one is from NEW England. Razz

I didn't like Barry for a time. But, over the years I developed first a tolerance, then a liking.

Same with Neil Sedaka. Early in his career, he did songs like Oh Carol. While I like the song, I had little respect for him as a creative artist. Now, I think a lot of him.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for keeping us on the air, edgar.

Well, You and I discussed Neil Sedaka a lot, and Oh Carol is not one that I know, but it's not the greatest.

Same with "the jester". Never did enjoy his harmonica performances too much, but now I have come to appreciate his ability. I Believe in You was good.

Here's my favorite by Neil.

ethnicity here has become fantastic, and I'll always ask. Most seem completely willing to share and we always exchange words with smiles.

I am a Dylan fanatic, from the start of his career, through about 1983. After that, he wrote some good songs, but I don't enjoy most of his work.
Sedaka's Emmigrant song is one of his best.
Here is a song that Hoagy and his writing partner wrote in ten minutes - with Hoagy and Dolly's sister Gayle in the video

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I didn't know that Hoagy and Crystal Gayle did Lazy Bones. Love it, although I'm not certain to whom you are referring when you mentioned Dolly, edgar.

Here's Sachmo and "the crooner" with another fishing song.

I made a mistake when I said Dolly. Meant Loretta, as in Lynn.

Not that Dolly has no siblings.

Robert Parton and Avie Owens gave birth to 12 children. Dolly was the 4th. The others were Willadeene Parton, David Parton, Denver Parton, Bobby Parton, Stella Parton, Cassie Parton, Larry Parton (who died shortly after being born), Randy Parton, Floyd and Freida Parton (twins), and Rachel Dennison. She also has at least 3 half siblings from her father's infidelities, which she admitted to recently.
