@edgarblythe,
Love that Chopin song by Jerry Vale, edgar. Thanks for the memory.

I hope Clint does better with A Star is Born than he did with The Here After. (think that was the name )

Here's Babs doing a song from the original.

I didn't watch that film yet, letty. Of his more recent films that I have seen, Gran Torino and Million Dollar Baby were extremely well done.
I like most of Barbra Striesand's songs, including that one.

@edgarblythe,
I saw Million Dollar Baby and that was good, edgar.

Wow! Had no idea that "the king" did The Last Farewell. I only remember it by Roger Whittaker. Never hear that song that I don't think of Bob Smith (the hawkman) Hope he's alright.

Here's one that makes me quite sad. Want to get sick? Go in the hospital. Guess you know what I mean by that.

Ken Carpenter said the fact that they force fed Karen caused her to have complete heart failure.

This song is where I learned that John was German.

I am not through with doctors, because I might rupture an appendix or accidentally cut off a hand, but basically, I don't want or need them.

I never heard that version of Coming Through the Rye. I didn't know that bit of information about Karen, either.

@edgarblythe,
Hospitals, edgar, not necessarily doctors.

Don't know Amy Windhouse, but Back to Black was like a prophet of things to come. I read somewhere that bipolar disorder often is inherited and it occurs in creative people causing them to do alcohol or drugs, etc.

Speaking of doctors, Texas.

Doctor my Eyes is the song that first brought Jackson to my attention. His politics are similar to mine and he has recorded a number of great songs. He was partial author of the song Take it Easy.
I don't like many of Marvin Gaye's songs, but Mercy Mercy Me is one I like.

@edgarblythe,
First one that I heard from Marvin was Heard it Through the Grapevine. Then came the California raisin one. Like Mercy Mercy Me, too.

This Take it Easy, Texas?

It's the same song, letty. I like many songs of the Eagles. One I cannot listen to is Hotel California. A crazy inlaw stayed with my first wife and I for a few weeks. She wrote down the lyrics to that song on every scrap of paper she could find. Even took my writing papers and put it there. She signed her name, every time, just as though it was her song.

@edgarblythe,
Hmmm, wonder why it was banned in C.C, , edgar. Maybe that's why there were no visuals for Little Egypt.

Finally found the lady from the James Bond movie. Angela Scoutar was bi polar just like Amy. Odd that syndrome happens to creative people.

Heard from my daughter, thank goodness.

RIP Amy

I wish she'd found live easier. I would have loved to listen to this contralto develop over the years.

@ehBeth,
ehBeth, Welcome back. Didn't realize that Amy had such a great voice. edgar and I were just discussing the horrible effects of Bipolar disorder and talented people.

Here's one of your guys doing a brighter Jones song.

Mrs Brown and joshua, both great songs, letty.
I like the Amy song. I thought at first it would be a cover of Michael Buble's cover of Me and Mrs Jones.

@edgarblythe,
Well, Texas, you sent me searching again.

John Ernest "Johnny" Crawford (born March 26, 1946) is a prolific American character actor, singer and musician. At 12, Crawford rose to fame for playing Mark McCain, the son of the Lucas McCain character (played by Chuck Connors), in the popular 1960s ABC western series, The Rifleman, which aired from 1958 to 1963. He first performed before a national audience as a Mouseketeer.

Cindy's birthday was great. Thanks for the memory and the comments on what we play here.

Here's another Cindy and I cannot believe what a fabulous voice Eddy had.
