@Ragman,
Ragman wrote:

FWIW, the female singer is definitely Jennifer Warnes. She sang and made a huge hit of 'Up Where We Belong' singing a duet with Joe Cocker. Also she sang duet of the song '(I Had) The Time of My Life' with Bill Medley (one half of the Righteous Brothers), from the movie Dirty Dancing.

I pulled up the album. Sure enough, it is Jennifer.

Good afternoon. I once had opportunity to examine first-hand Tiny Tim's possessions and a few of Barnum's. I was about twenty at the time.

Howdly doodly all.
To be honest I'm not a big fan of the circus, not the ones
who keep large animals anyway.
I wouldn't be a big fan of what P.T. stood for, but then
again different times.

@eurocelticyankee,
Frankly, euroGeorge, that was a terrible representation of P T Barnum. I think, perhaps, the designer was trying to demonstrate how many phonies there are in the world. I am, however, with you. I'm not much on the circus. Always preferred the carnival as a kid.

Well, Irish, you sent me searching again.

Lighthouse Family are a British musical duo that rose to prominence in the mid-1990s and remained active until the early 2000s. Vocalist Tunde Baiyewu and keyboard player Paul Tucker formed the act in 1993 in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK after meeting while studying at university. Their 1995 debut album Ocean Drive sold more than 1.8 million copies in the UK alone and established them as a popular easy listening duo throughout Europe.

They are well known for their songs: "Lifted", "Ocean Drive", "Raincloud" and "High", which also reached number one on the Australian Singles Chart.

Loved that Ocean Drive. Reminds me a bit of where I live. Thanks for the introduction. Great song, powerful message.

Another birthday boy.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar. Don't know Romance in Durango, but I'm assuming it must be set in Mexico. Great cover of "the jester".

Another birthday boy.

Shane Steven Filan (born July 5, 1979) is one of the lead singers in the Irish pop band Westlife. Filan is one of the five original Westlife members, along with other current members Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Nicky Byrne and former member Brian McFadden

Hi Folks,
Enjoyed hearing Huey Lewis, I've not listened to him for
a long time.
It's hard to get Bob playing his own music on you tube, he
guards his music well.
Westlife are the ultimate manufactured band, it really is
unbelievable the success they've had, equaling the Beatles
in no 1's. It's criminal, their only saving grace is that a couple
of them can actually sing, Shane being one of them.

Here's Dylan & Van the Man singing together, enjoy it while
you can, it'll be removed soon enough.

I can see why Shane's music would be popular. He has a very good voice and delivery. Thanks for the Bob Dylan music.

@eurocelticyankee,
Thanks for your comments, Irish. I think Westlife is great, however, but thanks for the additional info.

Love Irish Rover by Van and Bob and "the jester's" Love minus Zero was excellent.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First, a great one that I have come to love.

Nice to have London and Dublin with us today. Glad you're okay, Texas.

From Letty with love and a smile.

Yes, Westlife is good, the few songs of theirs I have heard. Up Where We Belong got its author, Buffy, an academy award.

Don't get me wrong Westlife are ok, it's just they don't
play any instruments or write their own songs. So I just
don't think their in the same league as say the Beatles.
Loved Sarah Vaughn and Joe & Jennifer.
Good night now.

Sarah Jarosz - Come On Up To The House.

Well the moon is broken and the sky is cracked
Come on up to the house
The only things that you can see is all that you lack
Come on up to the house

All your crying don't do you no good
Come on up to the house
Come down off the cross
We can use the wood
Come on up to the house

You gotta come on up to the house
Come on up to the house
The world is not my home
I'm just a passing through
Come on up to the house

There's no light in the tunnel,no irons in the fire
Come on up to the house
And your singing lead soprano in a junkman's choir
Come on up to the house

Your whole life seem nasty, brutish and short
Come on up to the house
Well the seas are stormy and you can't find no port
Come on up to the house

Yeah, you gotta come on up to the house
Come on up to the house
The world is not my home
I'm just a passing through
Come on up to the house

There's nothing in the world that you can do
Come on up to the house
You been whipped by the forces that are inside you
Come on up to the house
Well you're high on top of your mountain of woe
Come on up to the house
And you know you should surrender but you can't let go
Come on up to the house

You gotta come on up to the house
Come on up to the house
The world is not my home
I'm just a passing through
Come on up to the house

You gotta come on up to the house
Come on up to the house
The world is not my home
I'm just a passing through
Come on up to the house

You gotta come on up to the house
Come on up to the house
The world is not my home
I'm just a passing through
Come on up to the house

Good Morning Folks, Hiya all doing......
The last few songs were all excellent, "Washington Square" is
a great bit of dixieland.
Nice take on the Beatles "All you need is love"
Never heard Sarah Jarosz before, love her, what a talent, shes
made for bluegrass. Listened to a couple more of her songs, I
really like this one..... Sarah Jarosz "Tell Me True"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVGg38_QzOI

Her website is well worth a visit, I note shes playing in England
and Scotland this month, if I could I'd definitely go and see her.

@RexRed,
Minus 1 for the potty mouth (there is a lady listening! A sorry would be in order.) Plus 1 for the Beatle's cover.Watch your manners! Clean slate.
