The Drifters - in every incarnation, they were one of my favorite groups. Didn't Bruce Willis cover under the boardwalk?

@edgarblythe,
Love Under the Board Walk.

Yep, Bruce Willis did that one, too.

Just found the trailer for Key Largo. Didn't see the movie, but I have a book here about Lauren Bacall.

edgar, Really enjoyed The Drifters doing Pastures of Plenty.

Here's the trailer.

I have watched Key Largo three or four times. I liked it mostly, except the very ending lacked forceful drama, after such a long build up.

Speaking of drama, here are zombies

@edgarblythe,
Ed your zombie song by Harry Belafonte brought
me back, "Great track Mon!"

Here is some music from a zombie movie called "28 weeks later",
It is composed by John Murphy who I have to say has become
the master of film scores, his music seems to fit perfectly the
film scene it's made for.
Excuse the gore, Miss Letty you shouldn't watch this.

He also did the soundtrack to one of my favourite sci-fi
movie's "Sunshine"

Good ones euro.
As you know, letty, I like almost all of Donovan's songs.

This version of this song is not identical to the one I heard on the radio so many years ago. Still, Don Gibson is the only artist I truly appreciate on this song. Don't really like Les Paul's and Mary Ford's way with it.

@edgarblythe,
I was surprised to find that Donovan did that song, edgar.

I never cared for Les Paul and Mary Ford version either, Texas. Don Gibson's version is better.

Speaking of which, the gibson guitar was Les Paul's big gift to the music business.

Here's one that moistened by eyes a bit.

Welcome back, Brit. Great videos of the square and the celebration.

I think The Village People got their name from Greenwich Village in New York City. I may have been to the Vanguard jazz club. Can't remember.

Love the songs from HAIR.

edgar, thanks again for your comments. That Donovan song reminded me of this famous couple. Razz

Bruce Willis (accompanied by the Temptations) in a great cover of 'Under the Boardwalk', He really can sing and knows how to deliver this song:

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar. I had no idea that Ali could sing. I recall him as the rope a dope guy. Stand by Me is a good one.

The Maid with the Flaxen Hair is by Debussy. Love classical music.

Speaking of "stand", I ran across this one that is unusual.

Standing on the corner makes me think of another song I can't recall the title of.
They found a head in the bay this morning. It had a note in its mouth.

Yep. It said, I ain't got no body.

Listened to the latest offerings, liked Sammy D and Cassius Clay who'd
a thought he could sing so well.
Enjoyed Matt Monro and that nice piece by Richard Stoltzman.
But especially enjoyed , my new favourite, Don Gibson, he's up
there with Elvis as far as I'm concerned.
Pet Shop Boys were good too.

Black .... Wonderful Life.
