@edgarblythe,

"Ah, Moon of My Delight" was lovely Miss Letty.
Elvis singing the blues was really good Ed, oh thanks

Morning Ms Letty,Ed (I'm going to see Roy Wood in December.He's supporting Status Quo at London's O2 arena),and all Wa2K folks.Here's Stevie Wonder with the magnificent James Jamerson on bass....
Stevie Wonder- Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours
Like a fool I went and stayed too long
Now I'm wondering if your love's still strong
Ooh baby
Here I am, signed, sealed delivered I'm yours
Then that time I went and said good-bye
Now I'm back and not ashamed to cry
Ooh baby
Here I am, signed, sealed delivered
I'm yours
Here I am baby
Oh, you've got the future in your hand
(Signed, sealed delivered, I'm yours)
I've done a lot of foolish things
That I really didn't mean
Hey, hey, yea, yea, didn't I, oh baby
Seen a lot of things in this old world
When I touched them they did nothing, girl
Ooh baby
Here I am, signed sealed delivered
I'm yours, oh I'm yours
Oo-wee babe you set my soul on fire
That's why I know you are my only desire
Ooh baby
Here I am, signed, sealed delivered
I'm yours
Here I am baby
Oh, you've got the future in your hand
(Signed, sealed delivered, I'm yours)
Here I am baby
Oh, you've got the future in your hand
(Signed, sealed delivered, I'm yours)
I've done a lot of foolish things
That I really didn't mean
I could be a broken man but here I am
With your future, got your future babe
(Here I am baby)
Here I am baby
(Signed, sealed delivered, I'm yours)
Here I am baby
(Here I am baby)
(Signed, sealed delivered, I'm yours)
Here I am baby
(Here I am baby)
Here I am baby
(Signed, sealed delivered, I'm yours)
Good early morning here, WA2K folks.
edgar, Chicco's Tarantella was great. (an answer to that after a bit)
Hey, Irish. Joan's Me Myself and I was excellent. Nope, won't play the work song.
Well there's our Brit With Stevie Wonder's Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Love that guy as well as the song. Thanks, London.
First, a response to our edgar's goodnight song.
The tarantella has a very interesting history. Its name derives from a little southern town of Italy called Taranto. It was believed that if a spider called the tarantula bit the towns people, the only way to survive its bite was to do a dance called the Tarantella. The locals believed this was the only cure. If the people bitten did not dance they would suffer severe pain, muscle spasms, vomiting; most eventually died.
"along came a spider and sat down beside her and frightened Miss Letty away".
Now, today is the birthday of a legend, Nelson Eddy. (my mom love him)
A tribute to the man.

Good morning people. My Mom liked Nelson Eddy movies. She loved all of the old musicals he and others made. I particularly like Stevie's song and the message of Clean up the Ghetto.

Well, with that, I am about to be off to work. See you all later on the radio.
Good afternoon, here in our little Florida studio.
edgar, thanks for your comments. Loved What a Difference a Day Makes by Dinah.
Brit, you hurry back as well. Little Eva's plum reminded me of this one.

I, too, have fond memories of New York as you know.
Here's an interesting group from Canada.

The Ghetto song made me think of Elvis.
@Letty,
Howdy do WA2K.
"What a Difference A Day Makes" is a classic.
Happy Birthday Nelson Eddy, RIP.
Your first one was blocked Miss Letty, seen the
Crash Test Dummies though, hmm.
Later Yawl.....

Claramae Turner
@edgarblythe,
Claramae Turner's "I'll Take Romance" was a nice piece Ed.
Kim Carnes, Bette Davis Eyes..

Go Go the Ramones....
That's a good video with Kim Carnes, euro. Great song too.
Here is one we have heard on here before

@edgarblythe,
I have to admit I never heard "Tom Dooley" before Ed,
great track, I note it's based on an actual murder of a woman
that took place in 1886. Really good song.
Roberta Flack.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpNdMIAnKko
In my opinion, Roberta made two masterpiece recordings: Killing Me Softly and First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. The latter is one of the most beautiful recordings I have heard. The odd thing is, I don't really care about her other songs at all.
Here is the song that really made me love Marty Robbins as an artist.

{A tube malfunctioned and created the bizzare sound of the music}
@edgarblythe,
That's not odd Ed, the same can be said about a lot of artists.
Oleta Adams - Get Here.

(i'll have a listen to Marty now)
@edgarblythe,
Nice couple of tracks from Marty there Ed, Fuzzbox and all
I'll have to leave for a while, bye for now.
