@Letty,
Guten Abend!, WA2K, Frau Letty.
Woody's new movie looks good.
Seen his last one "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" which
I have to say I enjoyed.

Nena.

@eurocelticyankee,
Welcome back, Herr George. That was a fantastic song by Nina. The last movie I saw by Woody was Picking Up the Pieces. Funny.

Here's the English lyrics to your song, Irish.

You and I, and a little toy shop
Buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got
Set them free at the break of dawn
'Til one by one, they were gone

Back at base, bugs in the software
Flash the message, "Some thing's out there"
Floating in the summer sky
Ninety-nine red balloons go by

Ninety-nine red balloons
Floating in the summer sky
Panic lads, it's a red alert
There's something here from somewhere else

The war machine springs to life
Opens up one eager eye
Focusing it on the sky
Ninety-nine red balloons go by

Ninety-nine Decision Street
Ninety-nine ministers meet
To worry, worry, super-scurry
Call the troops out in a hurry

This is what we've waiting for
This is it boys, this is war
The President is on the line
As ninety-nine red balloons go by

Ninety-nine knights of the air
Riding super high-tech jet fighters
Everyone's a super hero
Everyone's a Captain Kirk

With orders to identify, to clarify and classify
Scrambling in the summer sky
As ninety-nine red balloons go by
Ninety-nine red balloons go by

Ninety-nine dreams I have had
Every one a red balloon
Now it's all over and I'm standin' pretty
In this dust that was a city

If I could find a souvenir
Just to prove the world was here
And here is a red balloon
I think of you and let it go

Oops. the house frau didn't listen to your English version

Better in German, methinks.

How about a little relaxing music for the afternoon.

@Letty,
Thats a lovely piece of music Miss Letty, truly relaxing.
Heres a piece called "Wisdom" from a movie called "A good year".
I love it, It's a wee bit long, I've looked for a shorter version but
haven't been able to find one, thankfully. Razz

@eurocelticyankee,
I think I just got older but wiser, Irish. That was beautiful and calming. Thanks, Irish.

I stole this one from a newbie on A2K, and I love the man.

June is Bustin Out is from a film I have seen enough times to lose count.
Woody Allen is a guy I have great affection for. But I haven't watched his movies in at least thirty years.

@edgarblythe,
Great on by Arlo, edgar. He looked almost exactly like Bob Dylan. Hope that pickle was kosher. Funny, and it gave me a big smile. Love the way he forced motorcycle to rhyme with pickle.

Thanks again for your comments.

Here's another funny one, yawl.

@edgarblythe,
I'm a fan of commercials, edgar. Wrote them for radio and TV. I think the guy who did that commercial died some time back. Your version, however, was fantastic. Thanks again for your comment on Blood Sweat and Tears.

Today is Mr. Pomp and Circumstance's birthday. Here is a tribute to the man.

@Letty,
I'll say goodnight folks, midnight here.
Yawl take care now, keep up the good tunes and good humour.
Love this song, great message in it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clq01TXQR0s

I hurt myself today
to see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
the only thing that's real
the needle tears a hole
the old familiar sting
try to kill it all away
but I remember everything
what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
upon my liar's chair
full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
beneath the stains of time
the feelings disappear
you are someone else
I am still right here

what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

if I could start again
a million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way
