@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar.

Selena's I could fall in love was great, but it was difficult to understand the lyrics so here they are.

I Could Fall In Love

I could lose my heart tonight
If you don't turn and walk away
'Cause the way I feel I might
Lose control and let you stay

'Cause I could take in my arms
And never let go

I could fall in love with you
I could fall in love with you

I can only wonder how
Touching you would make me feel
But if I take that chance right now
Tomorrow will you want me still

So I should keep this to myself
And never let you know

I could fall in love with you
I could fall in love with you

And I know it's not right
And I guess I should try to do what I should do
But I could fall in love, fall in love with you
I could fall in love with you

Is that the same Selena who was murdered by the president of her fan club?

Today is Alice Faye's birthday, and how neat to notice Tyrone in the video with her.

That was the same Selena, letty.
I grew up liking Alice. I think her husband, Phil Harris made me aware of her -

Here now is another Alice

@edgarblythe,
Oh, my Gawd, edgar, you sent me to the archives again.

I Love You, Alice B. Toklas is a 1968 comedy film starring Peter Sellers, directed by Hy Averback and featuring music by Harpers Bizarre. The film is set in the counterculture of the 1960s. The addition cast includes David Arkin, Jo Van Fleet, Leigh Taylor-Young, in her film debut, and a cameo by the film's co-author Paul Mazursky. The movie's title is a reference to writer Alice B. Toklas, who wrote a 1954 cookbook that featured making cannabis Brownies. Funny!

More synchronicity because Steve Martin is doing a remake of The Pink Panther.

We don't need any translation on this one, 'cause it's funnier without it.

Steve's a funny guy. I don't like comparing comedians, because each one has their own unique qualities. So I won't pick the best panther.
Here is music from a Robin Hood film, starring Richard Todd.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! that was a fabulous story of Robin Hood (Robin of Locksley). Loved the guy singing the ballad, edgar. Never saw that, but I was waiting to see Richard Todd. I vaguely recall him in The Hasty Heart. Been doing more research.Seems to me he was a Scotsman who was dying.

Here's another minstrel.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons doing Rag Doll reminded me of our Raggedy. Miss her. Loved that one.

Ah, Laverne Baker. What a fantastic singer. Don't know I Cried a Tear, but thanks again for the introduction.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with a lovely moon song.

Morning Ms Letty,Ed and all WA2K peeps and welcome to another feel good Friday.
Starting at the fashion desk (where else would a Mod start ;-) ) - Lord Raglan,fashion designer....
A raglan sleeve is a type of sleeve whose distinguishing characteristic is to extend in one piece fully to the collar, leaving a diagonal seam from underarm to collarbone. It is popular in sports and exercise wear, and named after the 1st Baron Raglan, probably because it was designed to fit his coat for the arm lost in the Battle of Waterloo. These sleeves are often shorter, usually half- or three quarter-length. A "Raglan Tee" might also be called a "baseball shirt.This style is typically used to make Letterman's jackets. Because of the additional space, one can also wear bulky sweaters or layered clothing comfortably under a jacket with raglan sleeves.

Back to the music and I'm kicking off with some Northern Soul....

12 Stone Toddler - The Rabbit.

Everything you want, wave the magic wand
I will pull a trick, wave the magic stick
Maybe the hand is quicker than the eye
You might know things but might not know why
Magic, you don't always get it right
Hoping that the well won't run dry

I pulled a rabbit out the hat
How in the hell did I do that?
I pulled a rabbit out the hat

Everything we need, got it up my sleeve
Only just begun, the best is yet to come
Maybe the hand is quicker than the eye
You might know things but might not know why
Magic, you don't always get it right
Hoping that the well won't run dry

I pulled a rabbit out the hat
How in the hell did I do that?
I pulled a rabbit out the hat
How in the hell did I do that?

edgar, loved your goodnight song by Bobby. Don't know Through Life, however. Thanks for the introduction. Don't you work too hard

Don't you overdo either, Brit. Need to check out Vintage Trouble.

Loved The Tams Be Young; Be Foolish; Be Happy and 12 Stone Toddler was awesome.

Now I finally geddit. Raglan was Welsh but the "d" was added when the Lord moved to England.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, edgar, and thanks for your comments on the softly jazz song and Rudy. I think that I became taken with him when I saw the movie of his life. I think Anthony Dexter was the copy cat. Speaking of animals, that was a delightful talking dog. Thanks for the smile.

Finally, I found a tribute to Orson Welles. I recall him best as the radio man who fooled the world with War of the Worlds.

@edgarblythe,
Great one by Chris Montez, edgar. Love Call Me. Don't know the guy, but I see that he also did Sunny, so here is a jazz version with lyrics. Funny that it mentions Valentino.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJOTD1vLULI&feature=related

Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain.
Sunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain.

Oh, the dark days are done, and the bright days are here,
My sunny one shines so sincere,
Oh, Sunny one so true, I love you.

Sunny, thank you for the sunshine bouquet.
Sunny, thank you for the love you've brought my way.

You gave to me your all and all,
Now I feel ten feet tall,
Oh, Sunny one so true, I love you.

Sunny, thank you for the truth you've let me see.
Sunny, thank you for the facts from A to Z.

My life was torn like wind blown sand,
Then a rock was formed when we held hands.
Sunny one so true, I love you.

Sunny, thank you for that smile upon your face.
Sunny, thank you for that gleam that flows with grace.

You're my spark of nature's fire,
You're my sweet complete desire.
Sunny one so true, I love you

I found Anthony Dexter's photo and he looks exactly like Rudolph.

Yep, Texas, Orson's broadcasting The War of the Worlds was total disaster, and that's because it had

verisimilitude. (our word for today)
