Ah, Francis, Dance me to the End of Love by Leonard Cohen was fabulous. He didn't think that he could sing, but like Chopin, who was a poet at the piano, he was a poet and a singer.

Hey, Brit, hurry back. Dancing is good exercise. Don't know Gene Vincent, but Say Mama and Private Detective were great. Thanks for the introduction.

Well, I love, love, love to tango. soooo

@edgarblythe,
edgar, that was the most beautiful song by Ken Curtis. What a surprise to discover what a fantastic voice he has. The visuals were awesome, too.

Thanks again for your comments on what we play here.

I was thinking about the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and made an excellent discovery.

Here it is, folks.

That's a nice song, letty.
I considered briefly going to the movies this evening, but nothing seemed that appealing.
Here's the Drifters to sing about it.

@edgarblythe,
Saturday Night at the Movies by The Drifters was great, edgar. How long ago we'd go to the movies(my mom called it the show) and hold hands with our beau with an occasional kiss. Thanks again for the comments and the memory.

Going to say goodnight a little early and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First, Chopin again.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvxS_bJ0yOU

Now, Diana and Nat.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRUtcLa0N0M

Who knows, Maybe I'll dance in my dreams.

The Endeavor did not make if off the ground, so The Royal Wedding stole the show.

So nice to see Paris and London with us today.

Goodnight, world.

Good morning from Florida, WA2K folks.

ehBeth, it is so nice to have you back on our wee radio station. Loved Jill Barber's A Wish Under my Pillow. Don't know her, but she is great. Thanks for the introduction, Canada.

edgar, John Gary's Deep Purple is lovely. That's the first song that I learned to play by reading the notes. Thanks, Texas, for the memory. Sophie B. Hawkins' I Want You was a perfect goodnight song.

Today is the anniversary of the first world's fair.

To go with the Crystal Palace of Queen Victoria, a song.

Was thinking of my Mom's lovely garden especially her sweet william, and this funny song came to mind.

Also, thinking of my dad who loved this guy.

Awake! for Morning in the Bowl of Night

Has flung the Stone that puts the Stars to Flight:

And Lo! the Hunter of the East has caught

The Sultan's Turret in a Noose of Light.

Wow! Photograph by Ringo is fantastic, Brit. Thanks, and welcome back.

Odd, I recall this one by "old blue eyes" but here's a new version.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar.

I didn't know that Judy did Turn Turn Turn. Love that one. Glad Pete was the one who inspired her.

Wow! Love One by Harry Nilsson. I especially like the sound of the acoustic instrument in the back plus the flute.

It's amazing what a bit of poetry and music can do.

Oliver Wendell Holmes:

The last verse to the Ship of Pearl

Build thee more stately mansions, O my soul,
As the swift seasons roll!
Leave thy low-vaulted past!
Let each new temple, nobler than the last,
Shut thee from heaven with a dome more vast,
Till thou at length art free,
Leaving thine outgrown shell by life’s unresting sea!

It's Tim McGraw's birthday, so here is one by him.
