@eurocelticyankee,
Thanks, Irish.

Well, today is Rene Descartes' birthday, so let's explore a tribute to him.

and, a funny joke concerning Rene.

He walked into a bar, and the bartender asked him if he would like a drink.

He replied: I think not, and he disappeared. Razz

@Barry The Mod,
Hey, Brit. The Beach Boys were inspired by The Four Freshmen. The Warmth of the Sun was a new one to me. Thanks!

Another group that was inspired by those four guys.

The Lettermen.

Sun's up; skies are blue; thinking of things that I really must do.
Company coming and my daughter is well; what more can I ask

@Barry The Mod,
Hey, Brit. Didn't think that I knew The Jersey Boys, but I knew Sherry and the other songs. Great one! I am always amazed at a man with a falsetto.

Don't know why, but it reminded me of this one from Grease.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxEtwtib7MM

I think it was Maurice Gibb that had the same falsetto. I think it was Stayin' Alive that reflected it.

@Barry The Mod,
Hurry back, Brit. Loved that one by the Fab Four. I had fish and chips once long ago at Virginia Beach. Delicious

Today is Rachmanioff 's birthday. Here is a tribute to him

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0-Lf86FO8E

I hear a bit of Full Moon and Empty Arms.

lyrics by "old blue eyes"

Full moon and empty arms,
The moon is there for us to share,
But where are you?
A night like this could weave a memory,
And every kiss could start a dream for two.

Full moon and empty arms,
Tonight I'll use the magic moon to wish upon,
And next full moon,
If my one wish comes true,
My empty arms will be filled with you.

Full moon and empty arms,
Tonight I'll use the magic moon to wish upon,
And next full moon,
If my one wish comes true,
My empty arms will be filled with you.

Chuck Negron from Three Dog Night had an amazing falsetto.

Here's Good Feelin' 1957. Not sure which one will be better.

@JTT,
Love Three Dog Night, JTT. Did not know one of those songs, but I appreciate your introduction and observing the falsetto of Chuck.

My son loved them as well, incidentally.

Here's another by them.

Good afternoon. I have been checking out today's music, but not finished yet. Too much to comment individually. I liked the take on The Four Seasons' Sherrie Baby. Here is an oldie from 1953.
