Good early morning here in Florida. WA2K radio is still getting a signal, I see.

edgar, I love that one by Bobby. Never heard it, Texas. That's the Way Love Is, was fantastic.

Old Goat, welcome back. I cannot tell you how great it is to have a big smile for your allusion to "garlic". I don't know what a Po Boy sandwich is, but I do know chicken gumbo. I even know what "haggis" is thanks to my education from the Brits.

Love that one by Julie Fowlis and Donal Lunny. Thanks for the introduction.

Alison Krauss and Union Station's Stay was also a new one. It was really good.

Ah, Brit. So glad that you can at least play something here. What fantastic songs in the jazz genre. Couldn't get your George Shearing to play, but I found one that is great.

The Ramsey Lewis trio's Wade in the Water touched a good memory.

"wade in the water; wade in the water children. Wade in the water, God's gonna cover the water..."

Here are a couple of songs for the morning.

First, Sharon Corr

Now, George Shearing and Carmen McRae.

Hi Letty, are you up especially early over there?

As far as Alison Krauss is concerned, I've just found the one that always gets the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. Yes, it's cheesy but what the heck....

Old Shep has the same effect. I think I'm going soft in my old age!

Ms Krauss.......

Well, Francis sent me searching again.

Rumer is the professional name of the British female singer-songwriter, Sarah Joyce (born 1979, Islamabad, Pakistan) Her stage name was inspired by the author Rumer Godden. Rumer's voice has been described by The Guardian as being reminiscent of Karen Carpenter. Supported by leading music industry figures including Burt Bacharach, Jools Holland and Elton John, Rumer was nominated for two Brit awards on 13 January 2011.

Lovely song, Paris.

Rock,Love that song and the visuals gave me a big smile: "...I'm a joker, I'm a smoker, I'm a midnight toker.." Fantastic, Kansas.

Dear Karen Carpenter. Let's compare, shall we?

Good afternoon. There are too many videos for me to comment on each one, today. But, I have clicked on each and every one of them. All represent some very good artists and songs.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, it's not necessary to comment on all the songs we play on WA2K. I have already done so, Texas.

I don't know that one by The Band, but I shall be released was great.

Today is Harry Houdini's birthday. That man will always remain a mystery, yawl. I just read that since he debunked many psychics and mediums, his life was threatened. There's even a story that he really didn't die, but escaped to Florida to hide out since his family was threatened. An autopsy was never performed.

Here are two tributes to the man.

First, a vocal tribute, then a lovely Hungarian tribute from one Hungarian and legend to another.

Now the classical piece.

Houdini apparently will never be forgotten. He is quite a romantic legend these days.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I really like The Days of Wine and Roses. I didn't realize that it was by Johnny and Henry. The movie was very sad, however.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs. Heard from our Urs and her Swede today, and she was doing her drum routine. It was excellent, I told her it reminded me of this one. Please note the verse.

Here's Francis Ablert.
