Good morning, all.

edgar, loved The Everglades by The Kingston Trio. That tells a story, and the ending is so sad.

Hey, Brit. Loved David Bowie's Changes and The Pursuit of Happiness as the theme to edgar's movie, was great.

Wow! There are robins everywhere here. Love it, so here is one by Dean.

Red Red Robin is a neat song. Never heard Dean's version before.

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar, I love The Irish Rovers' song Farewell to Nova Scotia. Reminds me of euroGeorge. Hope he is all right. Thanks once again for your comments.

More synchronicity, Texas. Today is John Steinbeck's birthday.

I read almost every book he has written.

@Francis,
It was a great tribute, Francis. My brother-in-law was a Roman Catholic, but he never practiced his religion.

Well, it's Sunday, and regardless of how we feel, this is a marvelous tribute to St. Francis of Assisi.

Reminds me of The Shoes of the Fisherman.

Steinbeck is one of the lasting great writers. Some of his books likely will live forever.
I read a very nice biography of St Francis some years ago. An interesting character.

Welcome back, Brit. That song Rockin Robin gave me a smile. Brought back a memory of the old days when I sang with my husband's jazz group. The audience kept requesting that song, and our drummer jumped up and yelled:

We're not a bird band. Razz

Edgar, I see you come from a musical family as well. Loved that one by your cousin. Thanks for the introduction, buddy and your comments.

Today is Marian Anderson's birthday, so here is a beautiful one by that great lady.

Marian Anderson and Funky Chicken on the same page. Laughing
I like Marian when she sings like that. Rufus is infectious with his song, for sure.

Hey, Brit. I'm with edgar. The Funky Chicken made me want to dance, but Mariam Anderson made me want to swim in a deep river.

edgar, Miller's Cave was great, buddy, and it reminded me of this one.

@edgarblythe,
Don't know Steve Goodman, edgar, but that country and western song by him was great. My mom used to pronounce that "dahlin"

Thanks again for your comment about The Devil Went to Georgia. There's another version of that. It seems that Ralph Macchio did a version where he beat the devil by playing classical music on the violin. I need to check that out.

Here's one by a gal that I like.

@edgarblythe,
What edgar said, Rock. Thanks again for your comment.

Never heard Judy Blue Eyes by that famous trio, edgar. It was good as they usually are.

Found the duel song, yawl. Sorry the video is not too clear.

They were guitars, not violins.

Willie aka Robert Johnson, made a deal with the devil, and here is more info if anyone is interested

I have seen Crossroads, letty. Good to hear the music again. Didn't really know of Robert Johnson, that I recall. Interesting story about the Delta Blues.
